Friends and Freedom: Our Move! [日本の自由！]

こんにちは！
Salutations, oh so quiet citizens of our Imperial Islands!
Today’s topic of discussion…Friends!
Well on a national level, so I guess it’s more like foreign affairs… Buuuut let’s not get to technical; I want to talk about the simple interaction between two (or more!) entities and that oh so magical relationship it creates. Particularly, I want to discuss recent developments with the eUS and where that now leaves us.
The Problem…
Oh how our friendship has changed! We used to get along so nicely...
Well it is old news now but the eUSA did this and not only undermined, but bartered for, our eNation! …Talk about rude!
Needless to say such an action equates to a declaration of war.
However, this is much more than our local bully (eRoC, jerks!) out spending us in sparing matches of national treasury’s (not to mention from the wallet!). With the eUS moving in brings an entirely new, and more severe, dynamic to the ever so elusive eJapanese national sovereignty.
Initially, a few much respected old-school eJapanese suggested that this was likely the act of some monthly radical imperialist who had somehow been elected. But I fear the current administration is much worse than that, besides supporting the invasion of a peaceful nation, it appears our history with the eUS hold no weight in the eyes of the eAmerican citizens when they are promised wealth. Cash is King, I suppose.
In this post-TWO world eUSA wants only one thing from us…
… and that’s OUR resources!
eAmerica wants be an empire like many of the other evil TWO nations.
At the expense of many weaker nations the eAmericans have begun an imperialistic expansion to claim whatever resources they can. At the same time the eUS has been doing their very best to satisfy the ex-TWO world powers. Their leader, Wild Owl, is a great example of the average desperado that is the eAmerican politician. Mr. Owl intends to be on the “right” side of the next super alliance, and will use any excuse to get there. Despite all this, I have seen great support for Mr. Owl in the eAmerican media.
My point to all this is that I don’t see our relationship with the eUSA going back to the days of the BROLIANCE anytime soon. The eUS have chosen a future without eJapan…we should move on as well. Yes it was a bad breakup, but they are in our past now.
A…Solution?
Fight fire with fire!
…Well friends with friends, in this case. For a culturally based eNation, we have awfully few friends. I think it would be very much in our national interest to devote a significant amount of our efforts to re-construct our Foreign Affairs. It should be clear who our enemies are now; our focus should be on finding out who our real friends are!
The first that comes to mind is Korea, being a fellow victim of the local bully; I feel our circumstances have drawn us closer. We could use this friendship as a blueprint for finding new allies who are equally opposed to eAmerican imperialism. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, correct?
Cheer up!
eJapan was depressed when war broke out with eRoC (again), and now that eUSA has solidified our oppression, our national spirit has hit an all-time-low (for as long as I have been playing anyhow). However! (Yes, with an exclamation point!) In this post-TWO era, with a good effort, we can create a peaceful existence for our eNation. We may not be a militaristic super power but if we open up to the eWorld we can unite with eNations with similar beliefs.
Call To Action! Prioritize Foreign Affairs on the National Agenda and bring about a new Era in eJapanese Relations!
(Although this has been a topic of discussion for sometime now, I formally encourage the government to do so)

It's true that at first I thought this was an act of the eAmerican President without broad support. Unfortunately, their Congress vote totals and their media tell a different story.
We need to build ties with South Korea and other marginalized nations such as Peru and India, to take back our country in the long term. eRep has a way of catapulting previously small nations into greatness. Even the powerhouse Chile was once where we find ourselves now.
Rather than fighting in vain for temporary liberation and losing it all again, we need a strategy to build connections and long-term allies. That may mean, for a time, giving up on the home front and putting all our force behind an ally that is also struggling against a foreign conqueror. Demonstrate our resolve and we will earn their trust. We are beginning at a disadvantage but we are by no means helpless.

Just kidding. The reality is harsh, no superpowers around you to counter-balance the threat of eRoC and eUSA, so good luck. If you need anything I'm at your disposal forever and ever... 🙂
I believe the reason that the eUSA has moved away from an alliance with Japan is because of two reasons.
1. Negotiations/Talk stopped quite a while ago. Thus, the friendship that the two nations had forged began to decay.
2. eJapan harbors quite a few Serbian sympathizers which is a huge problem with eUSA, or so I've heard.
It's hard to maintain an alliance with a country that holds quite a few enemies with it. However, I would like to see the eUSA and eJapan forge another relationship as I thought we were both great allies that had similar interests. If eJapan were to try and re-open negotiations with the eUSA and talks between the two became more prevalent, then I believe the alliance and friendship we use to have will come back in the future. Just my opinion though.
On your second point, if the eUSA feared we sympathized with their enemy...don't you think attacking us would push us toward their enemy? I, for one, have never liked the idea of a eSerbian alliance but ,because of the actions of the eUS, I am not opposed to the idea.
They just wanted our resources, plain and simple.

The article was one of satire. My honest opinion of eJapan was unfolded in my comment here. And I can't speak for our president or the entirety of my country.
If anything we tried to open talks with them weeks before this treaty was established, but we were turned away.
If the friendship supposedly had decayed because a lack of communication then it was not because of a lack of trying on our side.
In the weeks before, we had different Congressman, a different President, and a different Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Attempts have been made to establish contact with both cabinets.
Once again, it was not because of a lack of trying.
