Free Market: Ridiculous Q7 Prices

Day 2,230, 04:07 Published in South Africa Indonesia by Henock Haukongo

Here's the thing with Free Markets, they can decide to screw you. Sometimes this reality is lost in ideological tug of war debates, but its nevertheless, a reality.

Not too long ago, i noticed an unchecked rise in Q7 prices.

This was worrisome to me because i primarily fight with Q7 tanks (debate on why that apparently might be wrong is for another day). So i came up with an idea for a Proudly eSouth African Initiative, a government program that buys weapons from manufacturers and sells them at discounted prices. The proposed selling price was 10 ZAR. The Initiative was limited to eSA producers only.

The measure passed, but the forum admin forgot some of the laws and (single handedly) invalided the vote on the basis that as Congressional Moderator i did not have the "authority", which he later learned i did but by that time the damage was done. Despite being a moderately good idea negative propaganda picked up steam and a second vote on the initiative failed.

And lo, NOW this is happening:

Yes, those are Q7 tank weapon prices as of Day 2,230 03:04 eRep Time. Im guessing if you do not produce Q7 weapons or have some in storage, you are not going crazy shopping for some right now.

THERE IS NO REASON THESE PRICES SHOULD BE THIS HIGH

But an unchecked "Free Market" breeds a goblin mentality, self-devouring until no one is left standing. Government Regulation is not communism unless you have an IQ below 80 and therefore rely on the definition of socialism and communism Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck gave you.

My father had a saying in my native language of Oshiwambo which roughly translated is

"You need not be not selfish, thats not human nature. But lost at sea, save your friend from drowning because you'll need him to distract the sharks with when you make your escape. But save him from the sharks because you'll need something to eat on the island you wash up on. But feed on the coconuts instead because you'll need an offering when the natives attack. You get the point"

Benefits of the Proudly eSouth Initiative

- Affordable Q7 prices for the populace

- Producers sell their weapons at prices they see fit, i.e. production costs + profits covered

- Limited to eSA citizens only

- Stability in the market. Prices will never be too high or too low, both producers and consumers will be happy.

We have tax reserves, we CAN afford this. We also dont need a foreign policy thats all over the place, lets identify our allies, get them to rent a region or two and use the funds to uplift our community with initiatives like these and also to fund an aggressive war against enemies who have long not respected this great nation.

Only we are holding ourselves back from achieving our potential.
