Five steps to make Australia sustainable
asecondchance
Again, I am sure this is obvious and perhaps noobish but it seems there are some simple things we need to be doing to make eAustralia sustainable. Perhaps it is already going on and I am not seeing it but here are my thoughts...
1. Make politics more active: Politics make a country more interesting. Tighter races where parties are clearly standing for something. Everything to me seems generic. I don’t really know what 1 party stands for compared to another. Our parties should have real in game difference to help fuel the politics of our country.
2. Actual have government post articles: We have a cabinet full of people but I don’t really ever see posts. This is not a finger to the new or old government; it has always been this way since I moved here. Each cabinet position should be required to post updates ATLEAST twice a week or more. If not, they should be removed! No one has been held accountable for the positions they are given. REMOVE someone who doesn't do their job.
3. Better Military organization: It seems like the only people who know what is going on do not communicate it. We need better communication on when people should be fighting, how important the battle is, if there are big battles coming, etc so people make better decisions on how to use their supplies.
4. Better foreign relations: This is a work in progress but we need to form those long term relationships with key countries within our alliances. New Zealand, Argentina, a few others who we tie our hitch to.
5. More country involvement: Let’s have some planned national strikes, some national lotteries, national surveys, games, etc things that get everyone involved. Too many silo’s… not enough to waken the masses.
Just some thoughts. There are many things that can be done but the only question is will those in leadership positions actually do anything to wake up the country or will it be more of the same.

This article highlights the greater truth. Races need tougher standard bearers with gravitas - not more medal seekers.
People can't make races tighter. Candidates need to be smarter. For what it's worth Majester should have picked up the remaining votes split between him, 3rd and 4th place as he was clearly the most credible adversary, with strong intellect and a worthy opponent. As for the others in the race, they may well be decent chaps.. but I can't give free credit.
As for communication:
I have put out 2 articles explaining our policies
DoDaNS battle plans are out for today
Claire's agency has already put out an article ..
.. that's 4 articles across the board and this government has only been in office 27 hours.
As for eArgentina, they are not in our alliance but we have good rels with them. eNZ is eNZ - we're part of the same fold but we sleepy eye each other as that's how we show our love.
OSL is in effect as per my latest article: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-prime-minister-updates-for-day-one-amp-osl-eo-signed-2326872/1/20
A fully funded war is just what the doctor ordered. Now give me an AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!
With love, your Prime Minister x
Off to a great start!! Here is to hoping it is the same pace on day 25 as it is on day!
I will stand just as strong. You are a great Australian and I am proud of you. I stand with you - til the end - as only a Prime Minister can.
Walk tall, sir. I salute you o7
In regards to point 2.
The government is inactive because there is nothing we can do. What make more MPPs? with what money. Purpose a war? with what soliders. adjust taxes? with what workers.
We don't really have the people or regions to have a active government.
I think the point is to be active with what we have, and to encourage the 2 clickers to be more involved. This could be achieved by encouraging more people to use irc, forums and skype. I'd love to see a nationwide skype channel for people to chat on. Regular voice chats would help us to enjoy our time here more and would be an excellent way for people to connect.
I've been playing for over a year and didn't even know there was a skype channel or anything to do with skype and I actively read articles.
There isn't. Yet. I'd like to see one. We do have plenty of eAussies with Skype accounts and I've voice chatted with many of them.

Nothing you can do or so paralysed by apathy you can't see what to do
If you say it can't be done make room for someone who will make it happen
Nice article too many snipe instead if sniping write you own article a right of reply
Keep going Oz
what we really need is for people to start spreading the word about this game and getting people to play it.. 20+ million people in Australia.. im sure we can get more than 750 players 😑 (including inactive's, taken from mail you receive when starting game)
