Failure to communicate

Scroll through old shouts...Aha! Success at last.
Bet you didn't know we were returning Brittany to France.
Yeah, me either....
The Govt claims they want better communication between them and the Military Units.
So, what happens when that same entity neglects to post pertinent information, concerning a battle, anywhere we would expect to find that information?
Oh yeahhhhhhhhhh, people hit for the WRONG side.
And what happens when people hit for the wrong side? We either lose a battle we should win, or win one we should lose.
Now, how can we FIX this problem?

Awesome. x_X
Tanking for France now... though I wish we could just keep Brittany and return the rest. It has Fish. We do not have Fish. I assume there is some grand strategic reason why we cannot have higher food bonuses... o_o
I wish I knew the logic also. If there was any.
Perhaps the fact that France is an ally and agreed to let us use their regions?
Brittany is the key bridge region. What good are the others without it?
The agreement was to return it. Are you saying we shouldn't follow through with our agreements to allied nations?
I'm saying the agreement seems poorly made. It should have been the last region returned, perhaps an agreement made to keep it.
getting an extra RW just for 1 food bonus is not worth it, the cost in drain is too high to be worth the benefits of the food bonus.
Artela says we are giving it all back so they can have a Congress. Yay for Frenchy congress! 😛

Voted.
Voted for someone else pointing out stupidity.
No response required.
Too bad I took Oblige off my friends list a long time ago. Where will I get orders? *cries*
As I said before, Listen to eNPR and gain knowledge.
I shouldnt have to listen to a radio show to find out what is going on in game.....
Voted for bringing us back to the main topics.
Once it was mentioned on air many on my friend's list shouted to 'spread the word'
No; there is no excuse for not having a DoD article clearly stating this change in plans.
Ultimately as CW inferred above with her question. We collectively as a community must continue to work towards unification and consensus by resolving these problems between us.
Here I am in the middle; friends on both sides. I am neither AIM nor Unity so I remain in the crossfire; a 2-clicker attempting to only help our community by becoming active.
Hopefully more will choose to as I have; and partake in the community we have created together despite the truth of the old axiom 'familiarity breeds contempt'
They tell us that we don't know what we are talking about. They say that we can't be trusted to organize our own efforts. They tell us we can't choose who we want to lead our parties or our country. Yet we knew that Brittany was to be handed back. THEY are simply not competent to be allowed to run this country a minute longer.
Sounds political.
Have to admit this made me laugh, thank you 🙂

On eNPR last night... the government's official radio program... it was communicated a few times.
Also, the first RW was done before the NE had expired, which you would have also learned had you listened to eNPR.
Just saying, the sources are out there.
eNPR... yeah right. That helps the in-game population.
The information needs to be in articles, military unit orders, etc.
It might help to use the in game resources rather than relying on sources outside of the game if you really want to relay the information. By the time eNPR was on there were already around 40 points stacked up for the US in that resistance war. I've said it before, meet the players where they are at, don't expect the players to come to where you are at. At least if you want to get anything done.
hmmmm...
so basically you "active" people are saying...
1. You can't bother listening to eNPR.
2. You can't bother asking someone.
Also, eNPR is advertised in EACH AND EVERY edition of the WHPR, so people know it's there. In addition, each article that Artela writes has an advert for it as well.
Yes, we should try harder to get the message out, but you active people should already know where to find the info.
In addition, I think EVERYONE missed where I said the RW was started BEFore the NE had expired, so the timeliness of it was a surprise to everyone.
How about this... instead of whining and grumbling, be a part of the fix and get the message out, like MM3 did in a shout yesterday.
Quit acting like spoiled kids, people. It's ridiculous.
Wow, responses like this really make me want to work with you.
Ever hear of "constructive criticism"? If you really want to change how things are going you may want to pay some heed to what people are saying rather than just lashing out and calling people spoiled kids.
Again, you must have missed it in your whahhh-hahhh... boo-hoo'ing, so I'll say it YET ONCE MORE...
"In addition, I think EVERYONE missed where I said the RW was started BEFORE the NE had expired, so the timeliness of it was a surprise to everyone."
There is OBV an issue with communication... people don't want to LISTEN.
And on that note...
I've decided to take the day off after I fight for PG. You guys are hysterical, but I'm not down for the in-fighting, finger-pointing drama.
"1. You can't bother listening to eNPR.
2. You can't bother asking someone."
1.. eNPR is on how many days of a week? To say ppl should have to listen to it so we can get current time info on a battle that's half over is a little absurd to me..
2.. Should I have to go track down somebody to find out every single detail? There was no mention of it in the irc # for our prios (i checked.. a couple times).. if we can't bother to put it on irc in the room specifically for that stuff where the MU commanders can find it, we're all screwed
Jude, as much as I enjoyed participating on eNPR last night, you can't possibly think that eNPR is the answer to this problem. 1 night a week, limited audience, long time commitment: to get something that could easily be published ingame. This was a failure in normal communication, and eNPR is at best a supplemental source, but frankly more in the category of entertainment.
yeah about that eNPR... you are aware that only a handful of people listen to that right? Not to mention significant portion of eUS citizens living in Europe irl. eNPR is NOT a part of this game. I'm active, only twice did I listen to eNPR cuz it simply does not fit into my schedule.
You MUST on the other hand put a DoD order up there, thats what government is there for. I should not feel the need to ask someone where to hit in a game that is based on that 'hit' button.
Even when I was playing 12+ hours a day during the height of v2 I didn't bother with any of the radio shows.
Ruh row. CJCS doesn't know the plan, but blaming the people. Uh. Hmmmm. Hehe, this never ends well.
Dear god this is probably the most stupid reply I've ever read in an article, and I've read RGRs replies. You actually expect everyone to listen to the eNPR radio show?
1. Will these shows either change so they run 24/7 repeating our orders and deals so that everyone can listen at it at a time convenient to them?
2. Do you realize how silly you sound if you read #1.?
The communication is terrible, accept it and deal with it instead of calling people spoiled kids for asking for some DoD orders.
If it was ONLY said on eNPR, then you can't say "sources" it's just "source" and is eNPR the ONLY "official" gov't way to comunicate? I'm pretty sure there are other ways too.
So you say WE need to make the effort to get on eNPR, but you don't have to make the effort to communicate in any other form?
Great fail, yet again, from the useless gov't. This is worse than when FingerGuns was in charge.
. A very low % of the game listens to eNPR, for multiple reasons, a lot of them irl. Take me for example. I'm sleeping by that time. Stop being a bitch and listen what people are saying.
I see you all over these comments trying to defend the indefensible, Saying ridiculous things.. why?
Just admit it's f@cked up and try to fix it. Solve the problem Jude, don't defend it.
You expect EVERYONE to listen to a silly radio program for proper orders. That IS funny.
I'm actually somewhat active on the EZC forum, the Fed forum, and I keep up with the in-game feeds, check the top articles and such, and even get on IRC. I never listen to eNPR, have never felt inclined to, and likely never will. I saw no mention of us handing the region back in any of the locations I'd expect such important details until well after we'd destroyed Paris and most of us were crushing France in the RW because we hadn't been informed otherwise.
Why do you keep calling it the official station. I didn't vote on it.
Unfortunately I find myself agreeing with the US mil crowd for once...this kind of information needs to be put out in every way possible, not just a radio program no one listens to and the shouts of a few gov officials.
The communication to the two-clickers and non-forumites is not there.
AT LEAST take a step and message the MU (or larger organizations) leaders so that the orders can be straight and timely. I believe there's a war person for that, right?
FTR - the point that is being missed is AIM is TRYING to help.
It was actually news to me before I started hitting there, but then again I'm an arrogant bastard so I figured me doing 100 kk influence in a battle is actually a form of "communication."
Yes, but the message is unclear. It could be that we should be hitting for the same side as you. It could also say that Oblige is looking for a BH/CH medal.
