ELECTIONS: Ian E Coleman for An Uachtarán
Brian Boru
In light of the withdrawal of Sweet Drinker from any possible fourth term in the highest office of the Republic, the Society of United Irishmen had a choice to make.
In order to choose a candidate, we had to see who would best negotiate the political minefield that is eIreland, who would best continue the legacy of our Revolution, and who had significant governmental experience to continue the tradition of technocratic rule that Sweet brought back to us.
We have decided that the candidate who best fits within these categories of the current contenders is Ian E Coleman.
This was admittedly an easy choice: The other candidate or his party did not even bother to contact us. We must now get on with a more difficult task; keeping this country on track, preserving and building on our achievements and system, and seeking whatever glory is to be had.

You are now going to make a plastic messiah, just like Sweet right?
Ian is no messiah, but he represents a continuity of governmental style that may very well be a messiah to us.
If he wins and his term is not identical to Sweet Drinker's, then I may or may not agree. Here's Sweet's "style"
1) Little communication
2) Typical administrative duties
3) MoFA/MoD do all the real grunt work
Mike Bane u can hardly criticism any CP, you were God awful so sssssshhhh baby no tears
Sweet did a lot of FA work actually.
Let the experts do their job isn't a bad thing. Furthermore, Ian has asked that people be trained to do the jobs as well, so the expertise can be passed on when we inevitably want to stop.
who are you calling a mug ?
well said Emperor
I'm calling you a mug by the way.
No self-respecting Irishman would be in a far-right party. Irishmen shoot fascists, we don't put on their jackboots.
right wing doesn't necessarily swing towards fascism actually. I am well aware that they are far-right. None-the-less you can swing whatever you want, the fact that you've called me a mug already and he who jumps straight on the insult boat has lost.
And no self-respecting Irishman would suck up to the Brits either but you guys are doing a pretty good job 😉
Far-right does mean fascist though, in effect.
The only thing for them is insults and bullets, and as I can't exactly use the latter...
Insult fascism all you want, it won't bother me in the slightest because I'M not one!, whether a party is centre or right wing or left wing doesn't matter, it's what the party members say, and you will NEVER hear me say anything in praise of fascism.
You can try smear me with the f word all you want but you're wasting your time.
Mike, you have far-right mugs cheering for you now?
It is evident that whatever my side and your side *is*, we have supporters from both wings. In eRep, friendships and networks hold more allegiance than RL (or pretend in-game) ideology.
Mike was always a Capitalist lover
Is trom an t-ualach an t-aineaolas

"The other candidate or his party did not even bother to contact us" Out of curiosity, if they did contact you, would you consider supporting them?
If they put a case as strong as Ian's was, yeah.
I appreciate the support of SUI, and I hope to do what I say on the can.
Good Luck my friend, should things go your way you'll do OK. o7
