eIreland CP | UK War Explanation

Greetings eWorld,

After eIreland launched it's DoW against the UK, we had many many people ask us "Why?" and also we had many people complain. Well as hinted at my last CP article I thought I would answer a few of the questions raised by different people/groups.

Now please remember and note, these responses are mine and mine alone. They dont reflect eIreland and her citizens, but responses to the actions I took as CP in this recent short war.

It was because someone stole my SH Medal


This is something that still makes me laugh, I mean seriously, do you think I would send a country to war because of one medal??? I dont even hunt medals lol.

This one came about because an English Player named Sir Humphrey Appleby, came to me via PM asking about the war shortly after the DoW was proposed. I gave him some rubbish about how a Turk stole my SH medal and I am anti-Turkish. Granted to his credit he did reply to me if I was trolling him, but stupidly he believed me when I replied "Honestly no, I am not". So off goes this English gov member running to the Turks crying about how Ireland was going into NI because of them. Even funnier was one particular Turkish member believed him hahaha.

Now for the record, I go into a battle and I hit, if I loose a medal, so what, hell even some Irish have taken my medals, am I going to start a civil war because of it? No I am not. But I do find it funny not only an English government member believed this, but a Turk actually believed him as well.


Rejected TW with Turkey


Another thing that has been said was related to the offer of us having NI for Christmas, in return for a TW with Turkey.

Yes this was offered in some sort of sense. The offer of a TW with Turkey came up in convo, I replied that I would look at that offer, but upfront, I would like to have NI for Christmas as a gift for eIreland. This was accepted.

After looking and speaking to our producers, I had to turn down the offer of a TW, due to the large amount of Holding Companies in Turkish regions, after all I am here to serve the Irish and well, you dont cut the hand that feeds you.

This was accepted, as well as the desire to keep NI for Christmas. It could of easily be done, we hit NI, after Christmas it is RWed back and well then Turkey can find a TW partner for it. Guess simple solutions havent agreed with some people, as Finland attacked before our DoW, so the only other place left was Wales... after all, no point in wasting a DoW when we have an event on.


Breaking the CODE agreement with the UK


This is another good laugh. See a while ago CODE came to an agreement with the UK (remember the UK has been wiped and was happy to sign an agreement that allowed them to be someone elses lapdogs). This agreement was published twice that I know of, as it was a joint ANDES and CODE agreement. Both prints can be found here:

However if you actually read this agreement, you will see this in the text:



Which basically doesnt even include eIreland in it. So how are we suppose to keep to an agreement we didnt even sign??? So this so-called agreement with CODE was not agreed upon by Ireland and from my limited legal understanding, if we have not signed it, we arent involved in it. Plus the gov at the time actually reported back, Ireland wasnt included to allow us to do what we want in regards to NI.

Not only that, when eIreland joined CODE it was made well and clear that Northern Ireland belonged to eIreland, yet we still have not seen that happen. But hey, why worry about a member of the alliance.


Because eIreland doesnt care about CODE battles


One point that was raised was eIreland apparently doesnt care about CODE battles and countries trying to get cores back.

To be honest, this one did hurt a bit. After all, we are in the Telegram channel, which allows us to send troops straight away at a time of help (unfortunately it is not with much notice, instead more "we need hits here ASAP"), as well as most battles being asked for help with is turning walls in TW battles, but I digress.

If eIreland wasnt concerned about our allies or their battles, why are we hosting Albania in our cores for a TW? Albania unfortunately doesnt currently have any of it's cores, so we are more then happy to host them in our cores where they dont have a fear of an unwarranted RW. However apparently this doesnt show some people our commitment to CODE. And I am guessing the AS we have proposed and are voting through also doesnt show our commitment to CODE.


Northern Ireland is apart of Ireland


This is FACT. Northern Ireland is apart of Ireland, hell just look at the name.

NI was set out from the start, from the Irish Government as something we wanted under our national flag when we joined CODE. This is something that is raised time and time again, both in congress, in CODE and in Public.

This is ONE of the main reasons for this DoW and war. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to work it out.


Christmas in Belfast


This is another ONE of the main reasons for the war.

It has never been a hidden fact, I wanted to present Belfast as a Christmas present to our citizens, to let them enjoy some egg nog in down town Belfast, be it for the 24hrs until a RW started or a tad longer. CODE knew this, Ireland knew this, Turkey, Chile, Finland etc etc all knew this. Hell, I even wrote an article about it.

So it is pretty easy to understand the reasons behind the DoW.


We want a Real War


Yet another ONE of the real reasons.

TW's are great to farm gold, to get a few hits and some TP medals/cash. But a real war brings it out 10 fold. Hell, just look at some of the Epics that came from it, the fun had both by the Irish and the UK in hitting like there was no tomorrow. Tie it in with the Plato Christmas event, it was perfect for people to hit their PP limits, to get their gifts, to earn tons in TP cash etc.

And isn't it better for Ireland to hit our old frienmies the UKers?


The UK is in eIreland's Sphere of Influence


This is something that I am announcing and standing by. The UK is in our backyard. As stated above, eIreland wasnt apart of the agreement by CODE, hence us not being listed there (unless CODE wants to admit Ireland is nothing to them and they forgot to add us...). We will have troops in NI, be it the quick way via one region, or the long way by landing in London.

This is true no matter who is in the hot seat. We as a one united Ireland, want to rejoin NI.


UK will have a TW with Ireland as long as Rusty D is not CP


Yep, that has also come up eIreland. The UK has spoken about a TW with Ireland as long as I am not CP. Unsure if it is due to the last time we had a TW with them and I was CP, they back stabbed us and we went to wipe them (only to stop due to I was being nice) or it is because they think they can choose who runs our country (I really hope they dont think we are a UK puppet). The scary thing was CODE's response to it....



Any way, that is just brushing on somethings that has been raised since the DoW against the UK. I am pretty sure I will check in on Telegram to another 400 hateful messages, but hey, I will always put Irish interests first, our allies second and the UK's last 😛 .

Remeber these are my thoughts and may not be the same as every Irish player... after all Winston Hope Smith voted No to the DoW, so UK you do have some friends here and people who disagree with me. eIreland, prepare for the Air Strike against Netherlands, to help a fellow CODE country out (and to think apparently we dont care for CODE..)
