Am I the only one who sees that the salaries are every day lower?
UPDATE:
Some tips to handle the crisis:
1. Do not train with Lana, unless you're a field marshal!
2, Do not found any company! Buy from the market, keep the gold in game.
3. Do not tank with WPs in battles, but distribute weapons!
4. Raise the import taxes! (e.g. foo
😛48% -> 99
😵
5. Raise the VAT, bate the income tax.
6. Issue money to generate inflation (exchange rate target: ~40 yen/gold)!

Hi. It may help your cause to not only identify a problem, but also to provide your thoughts as to how it came to be one, and offer potential suggestions for the government/Minister of Finance to remedy said problem. Or, you could provide some examples of actions you've taken to help the problem, if any, or offer links to other countries who seem to have stemmed the problem, if it applies. Good luck.
I had the goodwill, but smart people have said that I am a traitor. Unfortunately, I cant help, I retired from politics.
hungary isn't doing so hot either brohan, skill 7 manu only pays 0.2 gold there and the currency also tanked recently.
I would probably propose some minor anti-deflationary measures if I knew the first thing about fiscal policy.
Admittedly, I do not know the first thing about fiscal policy, but if salaries are indeed lower, deflation might be a pretty good answer as to why.
"I had the goodwill, but smart people have said that I am a traitor."
You admitted it yourself, which is anything but smart.
Same thing happens everywhere, and there ain't much to do about it.
One of the reasons is overproduction. We are everyday more skilled and thus produce much more than what is actually needed. This is supposed (or rather hoped) to be solved in the next version with the redesign of the economy.
Another reason Napoleon. People used to spend their money on weapons, but now they would rather spend it in getting stronger.
Devaluting the JPY would only lead to higher salaries in JPY, but the same ammount in GOLD, and that's actually what matters.
Whats curious though is in my job slot (5 land) i check the job market everyday, and for about a week, salaries were creeping up. Excluding today, where it seems to have died again.

Sounds like someone needs economics 101. If the JPY was allowed to float, salaries would remain relatively the same. However the value of the JPY would be then be worth less.
So why not just let the JPY float? It would make matters worse. As the value of gold would continue to increase daily and the value of the JPY would decrease daily. This would lead to more people exchanging JPY for gold as soon as they work, and in return causing the value of gold to increase at a faster rate. Keeping the JPY at a fixed rate protects the population and ensures their current savings do not suddenly get reduced in value over night. That 200jpy you have saved up is still worth the same amount it was 3 weeks ago.
The only solution to the current economic crisis is to remove gold sinks, or increase the rate of gold entering the game. Or to reduce the amount of goods produced. This is the main problem in my opinion and will only get worse as skill levels increase.
I have a question, when you exchange currency (JPN, etc) to gold, you exchange it with another player or with the game itself?
With another player, and or government entity(which is an Org set up by congress/country president).
Look on the bright side you are paying less in taxes and still able to buy the same amount of goods.
you exchange it with another player.
Low market prices.

An example why to raise the import tax: 4 companies sell Q5 food (~180) on the eJapanese market: 1 Serb, 1 Dutch, 1 Italian, 1 SK.
And who would replace them? No company can afford the large investment needed to take the business to q5 right now.
