eBe meet 2012 (The Conclusion)



Yes, here it is. A little note on the erepbelgium meet 2012.
First of all the names of those who where there: Olv007, Jofroi, Procuste, Cooke4444, MaartenW, shadowukcs
The hours mentioned in this article are set on local belgium time(GMT +1)

Lets just start at the beginning:
First there was light...right.
Now serious, it was probably 10 minutes after i steped on the train from Antwerp to Brussels when a huge guy asked me if i was tommot, me a little surprised mumbled out that i was.
The man introduced himself as MaartenW.
And here we go, i already met someone before it started.

I'm not going to tell all the details because that would make this article way to long.


To keep it short, since our early arival(just after 13.00 hours)5 other people slowly poored in like this:
First Procuste and Jofroi showed up. And just minutes after that shadowukcs popped up from around the corner.
Just as we where going to put our self in the middle of the room, Cooke4444 walked over to us.
And as last Olv007 arived as well.

I don't think its a surprise that early on in this intro we started talking about finances. How it was, the present situation and what could become.
It wouldn't be a surprise that this would sometime turned into some joking about shadows un-paid loan.

With the introductions done we moved on to our next stop, bowling.


Thanks to our wonderfull guide Olv we quickly arived at the bowling-alley(www.crosby.be) And it didn't take long before the first ball was rolling away.


It was clear from the beginning that Olv realy very good at playing bowl.
So the tune was set, Olv was the man to beat at bowling. And for a moment Jofroi came very close(if it wasn't for a few missers) at winning first place in one of the games.
Procuste had a little problem in getting a good trow of the ball,but that didn't matter as long as she enjoyed it(and she did).


What was trown: a few strikes by several people. Several spares by everyone. I think 2 splits unchecked.

And a few Cooke "awesome" strikes(just imagine his avater pose).


MaartenW treasured the ball that gave him a strike.
To make it short, it where fun games.


After these nice games we moved on for a walk around in the center of Brussels. Our first stop would be the place you see in the picture below.


Here we waited for several minutes to hear the bells ringing a tune...
But nothing happened(broken or isn't working on weekends).

Then we decided to grab a bite( some durum or something like it).
There we talked about past versions of eRepublik, the upsides and the downsides and made comparisons on the politics from earlier times(more then a year ago).
from the start on this conversation was dominated by shadow and jofroi.

After a good tastefull meal and an interesting talk an a few good laughs.
We then moved over a few houses further to a bar with nice decoration and good music(nirvana, metalica, the ofspring,...etc)
Just after the first round of drinks, shadow started to dazzel us with his magician card-tricks.


I do not have heard all what was talked about so just this.
MaartenW and jofroi where debating the differences in the real lif Belgium and The Netherlands,specificaly the deviding appearance of the Belgium systems.
And Olv tryed to take an interview of everyone on how they see and/or feel about this meet.


This article is beginning to become a bit long so i'll short it down like this.

After these drinks and lots of laughs witch lasted past 21.00 hours, Olv took us on a last quick tour through the narrow streets of the old Brussels,Had a group photo with "Janneke pis".

No, this is not "Janneke pis". 😛 That photo will follow later.

And then we walked back to the trainstation so that we could all catch our train back home.

We all said a few last words like: here you later,untill tomorrow online,... something like that.


So, how should we summarize:

Olv007 is a wonderful guy who just crushed us at bowling
Cooke4444 is not black. And yes, he is....awesome
MaartenW is a giant and came a long way
Jofroi is Jofroi plain and simple
Tommot's actual avatar doesn't looks like him(Ha 😛) and a bit shy
Procuste is also giving hugs to everyone IRL
Shadowukcs is a great magician but sucks at bowling

.... and it was all fun. A great day indeed.
