DB - Political Faction, The Pathetic Party
Henock Haukongo
I thought i have seen it all. Apparently not. In a pathetic move, the clearly bored pathetic members of the DB, who clearly are too stupid to even conjure an idea to excite themselves in their party with the PTOing threats the lowest in eSA in a very long time, the members of this pathetic shell of a party saw it fit to migrate to our Party, the Union of Patriots (UP) and influence our elections.
Our party had no PTO threat whatsoever, none of the eSA parties had any this term with the exception of the NP which had a questionable candidate, but these bored bozzos were clearly out of ideas of what to do so they saw it fit to migrate to our party and influence the results.
Its pathetic and sad really.

Kinda like desert lions tried to pto national party?
well done, DB
Cool Story, Bro!
Cool Story, Bro!
Trolololololololo
Are you talking about the people who used to be UP, moved to the DB-PF and now moved back?
I know you're not big on source verification but a little more effort is expected.
A couple of weeks ago I was asked to move from DB-PF to UP in order to strengthen real eSA citizens' numbers in that party.
You've rushed your assumption.
Want a tissue Henock ?
nerdrage at it's finest!
Sigh.
Don't sigh... I'm not sure I'm safe in my comment, though that's what I did, it doesn't mean I'm absolved.
I guess that it seems unthinkable that DB-PF may have nefarious goals.
Years ago I ran a site which monitored market prices for another virtual universe. I monitored the daily auctions (automatically) and I tried to use that info (based on previous auction data) to predict the current market value of an item in-game.
Sounds easy enough. But, fraud is a bit of a problem (and in that game, real money was involved, therefore fraud is expected). I frequently found transactions on auction which attempted to increase the market value of an item, by pushing up bids on auction items, where they did not deserve the value.
It took me some time, but I managed to get an algorithm which would root out these transactions, and exclude them from the calculations of market value for specific items.
However, it did not take long to realise that the algorithm had a severe negative effect. After a few weeks, the algorithm started controlling the market price. It would progressively detect legal transactions as illegal, and would authoritatively declare current market value as invalid.
In our case... think of the long history of eSA. The frustrated relationship that the current members of the DB-PF has with the concept of a non-free eSA. We are used to being screwed by a bigger "brother". We therefore will act, in some cases as vigilantes, where we see threats. This is normal in a society beleaguered a threat. Us "old guards" will, in terms of the level of threats substained, protect areas we see as threatened.
This is normal. Perhaps in recent weeks this seems like an internal PTO threat, but you have to take the history into account. Believe me, DB attempting a coup de tat to enslave eSA into a new government is not the modus operandi.
Remain vigilant, protect what you feel threatened. Especially if you think something is not quite right.
See reply above.
The DB is acting like your flawed algorithm now.
Grr... *beleaguered by threats.
I don't know of a specific motive by DB-PF members, and I really don't expect to hear of anyone doing effort in that regard 😁 But this message doesn't whitewash anybody... so do substantiate any allegations you might find.
Ladies and Gentlemen. Luc Praetor, master of words.
Praetor, noble. But buddy, what you guys did to the UP is EXACTLY like the flaw in your system.
"The frustrated relationship that the current members of the DB-PF has with the concept of a non-free eSA . . . We therefore will act, in some cases as vigilantes, where we see threats. This is normal in a society beleaguered a threat".
Compare to:
" I frequently found transactions on auction which attempted to increase the market value of an item, by pushing up bids on auction items, where they did not deserve the value.
It took me some time, but I managed to get an algorithm which would root out these transactions, and exclude them from the calculations of market value for specific items."
What happened in your noble acts:
"However, it did not take long to realise that the algorithm had a severe negative effect. After a few weeks, the algorithm started controlling the market price. It would progressively detect legal transactions as illegal, and would authoritatively declare current market value as invalid."
In your "noble" cause to protect eSA you actually hurt it because you were played into a plot by someone disgruntled and with a vendetta against one of our members, who saw it fit to slander that person for their own purposes.
The UP leadership you deposed was anti-occupation and even entertained extreme ideas in forcing the gold pre-agreement to be better re-negotiated. What you put in place is a government puppet who willfully lied and manipulated you and you ate it right up.
You know how your system had good intentions but ended up over reaching? Same with the DB.
At the start of this comment I specifically indicate that my comments relate to my previous comments, and to that of the article master/press director. I don't mean to talk on behalf of the Dignity Brigade Political Faction, I am not currently an appointed DB-PF official, merely a serving member.
Henock, sir, your pointed extracts of my last comments highlight exactly what I had meant. I don't see a disagreement, except that jury of public opinion will remaino out on whether the DB-PF consciously orchestrated such an event. That an attempt to identify and restrict a frequent threatening problem can easily result in an "overreaction" which might violate democracy.
We see this all over the real world.
Harsher punishments to alleged raousts (but really innocent) in India, only because local police now have to show the don't take nonsense.
How about restricting the freedoms of all travellers, just because recent terrorist activities were committed by a stereotype.
Severely fining citizens of Australia for not knowing that fruit cannot just be brought undeclared into that country. Instead if s harsh fine, why not a stern warning?
eRepublik is not as complex as a RL. But eR ties socially into our lives.
For years I've been poked and prodded by eIndonesia. I've been partially rectally examined by eBrazil.
I'm just saying that taking all visible eWorld events into account, that sometimes a good guy could be committing a bad thing.
But we wouldn't always realise until after.
Apologies (though I like to say "apollo geese", in ref to Blackadder) for the severe amount of typos in that post.
I'm still not offay with touch screen keyboards. Please ask if the intended meaning seems unclear.
