Current battle in eMalaysia and eThailand

Some of you MAY have noticed the current battle - http://www.erepublik.com/en/battles/show/7088 going on between eMalaysia and eThailand. The more clued-in of you may have wondered why this is different to the WG fights that have been occurring between eMalaysia and the ePhillipines.

Well, this is a merger that is currently going on between these two nations, in order to thwart a PTO attempt in Thailand. It has occurred at Thailand's request. The regions in Thailand will subsequently be returned once the threat of PTO has passed.

In effect, as we have a MPP with Malaysia, we are able to fight from home in this battle. Given this, you are encouraged to fight in this battle (as you can fight in this battle from home), which in effect, is similar to a War Game for us (but for free).

We encourage you to fight in this battle, and help our regional neighbours in their efforts.

Thanks for the heads-up. It did seem strange-too soon, but hell, I just saw a battle and went for it. Nice to know what it was all about.

Well good to know what is going on. Sounds like we have pretty good relations with most of our neighbors, maybe we should consider a long term local alliance.
