CP Announcement 2

Day 2,756, 12:08 Published in Ireland Ireland by Anthony Colby

Hello all.

I would like to update you on several things happening at the moment. There have been questions asked so here are some answers.

First off there was a Natural Enemy proposal against Ireland by a member of the Canadian Congress. I was immediately contacted by the Canadian President Xaniel stating that it was a rogue proposal and in no way had any credibility nor endorsement by the Canadian government. The Canadian Congress members were advised to vote down the proposal. As of now there were only 2 votes for yes and 22 for no.

The big question I have been getting is “When is the Premier election to take place?”

Well that is a good question.

With nothing communicated to me except what I read in Inept Punisher’s articles there was some confusion as to who needed to do what and questions about the timeline. There was also a question about eligibility of a candidate.

First off the candidate in question. AoifeNiBhriain was allowed to be a candidate after it was decided that even though there was an issue of eBirth vs eNaturalization. There was a known mistake with her registration that gave her another citizenship instead of eIrish citizenship at eBirth. Since she has been a member of the Irish community since day one of her game play and the fact that the six month time restriction for eBorn Irish citizens to be eligible it was determined that Aoife could remain a candidate. A decision with which I agree completely. In fact I believe Aoife would make a good Premier as do I all the candidates. Good luck to you all.

There was also some discussion as to when the election is to take place. Well initial statements by Punisher put it at yesterday/today. Well that is not going to happen. We don’t have the org set up yet, plus the three member Premier Committee has not been chosen by their respective parties. Once the committee has been sat there will be some other issues they will need to settle. Voting process/validation of votes and length of the vote.

We want to do this right. We want this to be fair. We want this to go as smoothly as possible. So taking a little time to get things right is the smart thing to do.

I would ask you all to vote this article up and shout it out (and all future articles) so that we can get as many people to know what is going on as possible. An informed populace is important.

Thanks.

Anthony Colby

President of Ireland.
