Congressional Election (Freeze?)
Dr. Badd
As I am looking at some of the preliminary results of this month's congressional voting I thought....
WTF?
Aren't we supposed to be getting along and working toward a common goaI? That whole "PTO Russia" thing? I have noticed that some of the "incumbants" were not winning.
This is not good as it will cause inter-party conflict.
Then I pondered the reason for this.....
Maybe some people are just not willing to follow. There are always those ones....you know them. You can probably name 2 or 3 from your friends. Always against the current system, no matter what it is.
Maybe some are just new, don't read, or care and just vote for whom they want. (Some of the same people that live where they live, because that's where they want to live)
And I thought of one additional thing.....
The people that are leading us, are not actually hearing us. I am absolutely sure that they have our best interests in mind, as I have spoken and met with some of the party leaders. But do they know what the majority of the people of the eUS actually "want?" Or is it that they think of what we SHOULD want?
Doesn't appear that everyone is on the same page - even within the top 5 parties.
I am starting to wonder if there is REALLY compromise within the parties in the congress. I am plannning on getting more involved to find out.
Maybe start/help a party, run for congress, hell.....just start asking some questions...

Getting more involved to find out is a good plan in general.
Having come back to the game, my thought is that predetermining the numbers of seats each party is to receive is problematic from both a democracy point of view and also a mechanical point of view. I understand why it's done, but I don't think it's always practical.
That said, I don't have access to the eUS forums, so I can't see a lot of the government's working and can't speak to party problems.
asking questions is always good
My comment on this this is twofol😛
First: There was a definite agreement among the leadership of the Top 5 on this freeze, but with just an agreement, flawless execution is impossible. People who just aren't in the know vote on partylines, and some individuals simply didn't believe in the freeze and said as much. Not much can be said or done about it, since it's obviously within their right to disagree.
Secon😛 A freeze is certainly not practical in most circumstances, and this was very much a special circumstance.
Groupthink is for lemmings.
Sam - I agree whole-heartedly, and I have made a request to the ADMINS for such an adjustment. I have worded it so that it is in their "financial" benenfit, so maybe something will happen. I have always liked 6th parties for their extreme views (both good and bad).
Raccoon - I agree with all said, and as I stated, the "agreement" was not locked in stone. Many parties have good communication, some just don't seem to have the activity to get it done.
That's funny as hell Pheonix! I agree, but you know that is how it works.
You are a good example of intelligence and how-to know-how. I can't wait to see how much goodness you can bring to the country.
OK, but remember, ask questions, listen to answers. They might not always be what you're expecting.
