Business

Day 4,035, 11:51 Published in Canada Canada by grindarkly

This is a little story about a failed business venture. Even though it is wordy it is a very general and brief oration of the nasty things I've had to deal with. Not every nasty thing has been entered because the list is way too great for this space.

I have been running a business for a couple of years now. I took over from my boss and been paying it off through a deal we made. I was the only employee in the specialized division and 2 others in the regular work devision and they have been in desperate need of firing for the longest time.

I've been with the company more than 12 years now and have earned a great deal of prestige on multiple levels just doing what comes naturally and enjoying my work. As of the last few years it has been very trying.
I have built the company up to 7 employees from 3 and now I am ready to quit because my boss won't let me pay him out and leave me to build. He insists on helping for a fee although his helping is ruining everything.
(basically everyone hates him because he is too overbearing. Customers and employees alike)

[NOTE: reason for helping for a fee is because after contract written and signed; bookkeeper quit and bosses stated belief is I don't have the skills or ability to run the company and continue to profit enough to pay him because I am the only one who can do half the work for the companies roster(specialized). So work together/pay him or contract pulled. I invested too much at this point for this to be acceptable and he knew as much.]

I am going to quit and run my own company. He can keep whatever money is in receivables and the profits he's made over past 2 years off my payments. To hell with him and his narcissism. I would do way better as a single employee business than I have during the past 12 years all inclusive.

This company is not worth saving cause the employees are attempting to destroy everything by way of greed and extreme indifference.

Since my boss handed over the company he insists on me having 5 positional roles. bookkeeper, specialized worker, auxiliary, scheduler, and general manger running around dropping equipment and checking on work progress. All at the same time full time. yikes! and Ive pulled it off for over a year!

No one reads this so I am just basically ranting about my own diminutised business venture gone wrong. But the one thing I appreciate about it all is that I have learned so much of great importance without having to take full risk and responsibility. All thanks to escrow and greedy controlling narcissism.
