Battle Order Buttons
Mr Crumpets
Good Evening eAustralia,
One thing I've been wondering about for many months, is if we should look at upgrading the 'button' on the battles orders put our by the eAustralian Department of Defence.
Currently the department puts out orders that look like these...
They are very basic, but miss something critical.
Those orders tell us it's a 'priority one' battle, but it doesn't explain how crucial the battle is and how hard our fighters should be hitting.
To show what I mean, I have below some example of what other nations are doing in their battle orders...
New Zealand
Brazil
Chile
Romania
The above show what importance the battle is. It gives players a fair indication on how seriously they should take that particular fight.
Unfortunately I don't have the link to best example going around... that of Indonesia!!!
The Indonesian battle orders had similar graphics to the ones above, but they also had smaller icons within showing what weapons should be used or foods consumed.
For major battles, they showed bombs and energy bars. For training wars it was something like a hand gun and Q1 food.
Graphics like that were very simple for players to understand what they should be doing.
Maybe this could be a job for Dartreal?

Our country doesn't really appreciate artwork like that sadly.
Interdasting, I like pictures.
Good idea
Agreed
Sounds a lot better then the current system
Another great idea Mr C
does it actually make a difference? people wont fight harder becasue there is 1 extra star.
hell people should be doing as much as possible all the time
but there are certain battles where Aus's heaviest hitters aren't going hard out, cause they know its futile or it will have negative consequences or a bigger more important battle is looming...
If you can tell people to hold back a touch, tell D1 not to spend all their energy bars and zooks (as honourable as it is to do as much as you can, it could be game changing later if used strategically en masse).
It could change the DO from being a club of influence hitting a BF, to a sword, sharpened with more purpose and aim.
I must admit, while in office was looking at other nations battle orders. I really liked the Brazil images, it really worked on where people should concentrate and how hard to push.
I don't think you understand how priorities work. Let me state the obvious: Priority 1 is more important than Priority 2.
You only fight in P2 if P1 seems safe. And so it cascades down the priority levels. The assumption is that we post a battle when we are in it to win or to clarify confusing strategic battle. If it is unimportant, it does not make it onto orders.
And that should answer your other unstated question as to why we sometimes have no specific orders. Directing people for the sake of directing them, when they could be getting Merc Medals or True Patriot medals is a power trip at best. Sure, I could post "No important battles" today, but that is redundant and pedantic, and possibly stop people from checking for updates for when an important battle does break.
YMMV
Our orders tell you exactly what we want you to do. There is very little room for interpretation or opinion (outside of safe or not which is defined as 55% blue). Its why we call them orders and not recommendations.
I laugh because the article is attacking Tim yet Maj is the same guy who's been assigning orders over the current and previous government.
In Majester we trust.
I believe the approved phrase is "Majester Saves" ;P
Mick has perhaps has a point though. Perhaps all the CPs we've had are great and its me who is the problem, since I am the common element in every single government. I mean, it can't actually be that we have a conveniently located country with a low population full of juicy rare resources that's the root of the problem?
It must be our terrible politicians who have wiped Indo 3 times for repeatedly invading us, kept NZ wiped for a month as corrective behaviour for continual random attacks, and gave Chile a helping hand against Argentina and TERRA.
I say we force everyone to take South African citizenship, and then only let the good guys back in as determined by the baby boom generation. Clean start so to speak. That should fix the glaring problem of poor politicians and magically make a conveniently located country with a low population full of juicy rare resources go away.
Maj stfu mate I was actually sticking up for the you. The juice was in the hypocrisy. Jeez can't a fellow bureaucrat not understand the wise arse in that crack!
What's wrong with taking you point and running with it?
Alerta Maxima?....sounds like something Harry Potter would be yelling out....
In my opinion i really don't think it would affect things that much :/ but it would be a great cosmetic change if someone wanted to do it i wouldn't oppose it 🙂
