As the World Stands: War like always ;)

Day 1,126, 19:14 Published in USA USA by Professor Oak

First things first, I would ask you to all subscribe to Ivar Gizteb’s paper. He and I will be alternating when we write so that the public will stay informed as much as possible. His paper is quite good.

Now to business, today, as with all days since the new initiative rules, has very much action. Italy and Austria are fighting, Poland/Germany and France/Spain have both been affected by an error in borders, America and Spain continue to clean up Mexico and Veneuezela, while a new deal is being made between America and Japan.

America and Japan

Today, a terrible thing has happened. Japan, a once Righteous nation, as attacked us in a startling repeat of Pearl Harbor. Not really though, as our President said we are simply trading a couple of regions with them. As far as I know, the deal is that they will give us one of their two deer regions, and we will pay them $2500 per month. This is going to be very helpful to any food owners because it will increase their production just under 5%. It is not quite 5% because it is 5% of base production and we already have 120% of base production. This will allow our companies to export more and will bring more cash into America. It will in all likelihood bring much admin rage, they seem to hate any mutually helpful agreement between nations shown by them wanting to reduce the number of American regions because we trade some to Poland.

China, Pakistan, India

China is once again showing the strength it gained through its long term occupation by Iran, Indonesia, Hungary, Pakistan, and Russia. This time they are flexing their muscles by attacking the naturally Indian, Pakistani controlled land. The regions they have gained in this war, in addition to the regions that they naturally have and one naturally North Korean region gives them all 10 resources. This will fuel the Chinese war machine and could lead to a confrontation between the two current hegemons of Asia: China and Indonesia. That war, if it ends decisively, would drastically shift the world power balance because Asia has a power vacuum but very valuable resources.
The war on this theater may soon be over, however that depends on how a meeting goes between leaders of China, Pakistan, America, and EDEN.

A new war in Central Europe, Austria and Italy

After the Itallian natural enemy proposal on Austria, war has once again sparked in Central Europe. Right now Italy is attacking Vorarlberg and Italy is winning 6-2. As this is the last Austrian region, it seems that Austria will join the rapidly expanding group of small nations that have been wiped out. The bipolar world along with recent admin changes certainly seems to put small nations at risk. It seems that Admins have finally decided that the bigger the nation, the more money they make. While this may seem fun for the people in the larger nations, I fear it will lead to monotony that this game so frequently has.
The Austrians do have a chance though; two resistance wars were recently started in Italian occupied Austrian lands. Right now Italy is losing in both of the battles, 3-4 in Styria, and 0-2 in Upper Austria. It is hard to predict whether the Austrians will win or lose these battles, it all depends on the support they receive from Phoenix and the support Italy receives from EDEN.

War in the Baltic’s continues, Finland on the defense

The complex war in the Baltic states is continuing on, and once again EDEN is falling. Estonia has already occupied Southern Finland and is now attacking Western Finland. It seems that Finland is not receiving very much support, even though they have five strong allies, Estonia is winning with only three. Neither of these regions are very important though, Finland has a second of both resources.
EDEN is not only falling behind in this area; Latvia has been successfully freed from enemy hands. It, however, would not be surprising if Russia, Estonia, or Lithuania declared Latvia as a natural enemy, so their territories may once again be threatened.

USA Mexico

In all seriousness, there is very little to see here. The only major thing that this war caused was a loss of the American-Canadian MPP because the Canadian President allied with the Mexicans. As expected this war is being won quite easily by America. Mexico has already lost three regions, most importantly Baja, which has given America Saltpeter. It is quite likely that America will continue winning until we decide to stop.

Other Fronts

France seems to be once again on the offensive, they control 2 of Canada’s regions and are attacking the Spanish region of Aragon. It is currently tied.
The conquest of Germany has been stopped by a messed up border; somehow Hesse doesn’t border Saarland even though they obviously do on the map:

On the other hand France can somehow attack Aragon:
