And what we are really here for:
If you are unlucky enough to live in Europe or North-America, the summer weather is about to turn into what people call hell. Like me, you might start thinking about a trip to the other side of the world where winter begins in June. If you are also like me, then you start becoming aware of how those places have really huge spiders, monstrous rats –called kangaroos– and those fishes that bite off your… And at this point you are staying at home with the delusion that the internet is a safer place.
Like me.
Anyway on Tuesday you will cast your vote for Country President, which also means a meaningful article is still waiting to be written.

July – what we are up to:
I haven’t really appreciated this kind of gameplay (SimFarm meta) we play here because it’s not how I play, it’s not what I expect from a multiplayer game. But that was just the surface, beyond that there is much more, a fairly active community and it is what keeps me interested. This game can be very worth playing sometimes when you’re doing more than just clicking some red and green buttons.
And contrary to popular belief, this game is not totally dead. The global alliances are pretty much on auto-pilot mode due to game mechanics and lack of interests from the public. The game isn’t growing anymore, actually it’s doing the opposite of that. But the game isn’t dead on the level of individuals, every day i see new faces coming, old faces disappearing or acting surprisingly weird from one day to another. I’m very much aware of that and I don't mind if players do things that I don't personally enjoy or I disapprove, as long as their fun doesn't harm the quality of experience for other players (the majority of eAustralian citizens).


But what we are really up to:
Unless something goes totally sideways, we –actually “we” means one person, but “we” sounds much better– are going to keep working on strengthening our international positions, we need a paradigm shift in our foreign policy, so we (him) will mostly be about diplomatic talks with foreign governments next (this) month.
I don’t expect to be much we can do about the rest of the game, I’m leaving that as it is, for the time being.
That’s all. Not much but it’s summertime, enjoy the sunshine and peace as long as it lasts and be prepared for the rainy days.

Y, ¿para qué estamos aquí realmente?
Si tienes la mala suerte de vivir en Europa o América del Norte, el clima de verano está a punto de comenzar a convertirse en lo que la gente llama el infierno. Como yo, podrías empezar a pensar en un viaje al otro lado del mundo donde el invierno comienza en junio. Pero, siendo como yo, te darás cuenta de que en esos lugares hay arañas enormes, ratas monstruosas, llamadas canguros, y esos peces que muerden tu p... Y en este punto, te quedas tan ricamente en casa con la ilusión de que Internet es un lugar más seguro.
Como yo.
De todos modos, el martes emitirás tu voto para elegir CP, lo que también significa que aún falta escribir un artículo.

Julio – ¿Qué vamos a hacer?
Realmente, nunca he apreciado este tipo de juego (SimFarm meta) que jugamos aquí, porque no es como yo juego, no es ni remotamente lo que yo esperaría de un juego multijugador. Pero eso es lo que ves a golpe y porrazo, más allá de eso hay mucho más, hay una comunidad bastante activa y es eso lo que me mantiene interesado. Este juego puede valer, a veces, mucho la pena cuando haces algo más que pinchar en botones rojos y verdes.
Y contrariamente a la creencia popular, este juego no está totalmente muerto. Las alianzas están prácticamente en modo de piloto automático debido a la mecánica del juego y la falta de interés del público. El juego ya no está creciendo, en realidad está haciendo lo contrario. Pero el juego no está muerto en lo que se refiere a las personas, todos los días veo caras nuevas, caras viejas que desaparecen o actúan sorprendentemente raro de un día para otro. Soy muy consciente de eso y no me importa si los jugadores hacen cosas que personalmente no disfruto o que no apruebo, siempre y cuando su diversión no perjudique la calidad de la experiencia de otros jugadores (la mayoría de los eAustralian@s).


Pero, ¿qué vamos a hacer realmente?
A menos que las cosas se tuerzan, nosotros –en realidad, cuando decimos “nosotros” nos estamos refiriendo a una sola persona, pero suena mucho mejor poner “nosotros”– vamos a seguir trabajando para fortalecer nuestras posiciones internacionales, necesitamos un cambio de paradigma en nuestra política exterior, por lo que nosotros (él) trabajaremos principalmente en conversaciones diplomáticas con gobiernos extranjeros el próximo (este) mes.
No espero que podamos hacer mucho con el resto del juego, lo dejo como está, por el momento.

Juli – apa yang kita lakukan?
Saya belum benar-benar menghargai gameplay semacam ini (meta SimFarm) yang kami mainkan di sini karena bukan itu cara saya bermain, bukan itu yang saya harapkan dari game multipemain. Tapi itu hanya permukaannya saja, di luar itu masih banyak lagi, komunitas yang cukup aktif dan itulah yang membuat saya tertarik. Game ini terkadang sangat layak dimainkan saat Anda melakukan lebih dari sekadar mengklik beberapa tombol merah dan hijau.
Dan bertentangan dengan kepercayaan populer, game ini tidak sepenuhnya mati. Aliansi global cukup banyak dalam mode auto-pilot karena mekanisme permainan dan kurangnya minat dari publik. Permainannya tidak berkembang lagi, justru sebaliknya. Tetapi permainan ini tidak mati pada tingkat individu, setiap hari saya melihat wajah-wajah baru datang, wajah-wajah lama menghilang atau bertingkah aneh dari satu hari ke hari lainnya. Saya sangat menyadari hal itu dan saya tidak keberatan jika pemain melakukan hal-hal yang secara pribadi tidak saya sukai atau tidak saya setujui, selama kesenangan mereka tidak merusak kualitas pengalaman pemain lain (mayoritas pemain eAustralia warga).


Tapi apa yang sebenarnya kita lakukan?
