I think it would be better for the Government to await the start of the new Economic Module before spending what little gold we currently have on loans.

If a player has a sound business plan then there are plenty of commercial banks out there that can provide loans. I see no reason for the taxpayer to pay for this service too.

Smells like socialism when the taxpayer is expected to provide services that are already available commercially.

Not socialism, development. Not support, loans.
Of course the bank may has a board, they can analyze the business plans.

There are overproduction eg. on the grain or food market. The prices will be not higher, if we can sell our productions on foreign markets too.

Food and Grain are the two most over produced items in the entire world. Let the market weed out unsuitable business owners who think that there is room for yet another Grain or Food company in our small country.

No need for taxpayers to risk their taxs on loans that mey not be repayed by inexperienced company owners. Let the commercial banks take that risk.

Not true, I have heard quite a few businessmen complain about the lack of iron. One of the keys to reducing prices of manufactured goods is the availability of cheap raw materials. For example, the weapons industry desperately needs a supply of cheap iron to continue producing cheap weapons. eJapan has no domestic iron, so it relies on imports, much of which is controlled by foreign businessmen. A development bank could work to lower entry costs for proven eJapanese businessmen--we should not give the loans to first-time businessmen or those who might quit the game--and increase the availability of raw materials on the eJapanese market.

Delaying the decision until the new economic module comes out might be a good idea since gold loaned might be made useless by any changes, but is there a timeline on the changes? Sometimes the Admin are rather slow...

When I say overproduction of everything, I mean we got gifts sitting there, tickets sitting there, food sitting there.

It is certainly true that certain raw materials remain at high cost but you can easily import them from foreign market via donation.
Its easy.

And the reason why its remain at high is because of constant demand.
But its certainly LOWER than a few month ago, indicating INCREASED in supply and drop in demand.

I'm wondering how much money is sitting in dead citizen accounts? Because they become money sinkholes, it decreases the money supply and pushes deflation.

Any stats?

I like the idea very much, however I'd prefer if only a part of the money had to be returned. This would increase the effect.

P.S. I see it not as socialism but as giving subsidies 🙂

Yonsil: you likely misunderstand something: the bank would not loan to import raw materials to Japan (there is a special program, "The iron must flow&quot😉, but the Japanese products to sell abroad. It can help to balance the foreign trade.

I don't really like the idea presented in this way right now. We should have to discuss more about it.

Yes, I would strongly support that, indicated in my first comment.
Regardless, there is strong competition in grain market. Perhaps we could try selling houses, but even that is becoming highly overrated with so many nations producing so many houses. What we could do is state sponsored corporation and sell houses...for confidence. We could try setting up foreign iron company ourselves and import cheaply that way, if that's what KITA wants.

Essentially...we could try encourage foreign investment in eJapan..but right now, I don't want to make plans for it..because I am busy lol

So, if a citizen wanted to start or buy a business, the iron market would be the best starting place?

well, it certainly is the most paying job in some cases because iron sells for much more higher than other average raw material you might come across.
But it depends. It might be good for workers, but not the boss.
