Join the new world

Not going to be a long article today. I was going to write a bit more on our acceptance into Circle of Trust, unfortunately my thoughts have already been summed up by my official statements in the WHPR. Never thought I'd be writing for the WHPR again, but they just keep pulling me back in I guess. If I had to say anything else about CoT, it would be that I personally think it's a great opportunity for us. I know this issue has been polled and our populace was pretty evenly divided in their thoughts on our foreign policy direction, and that they still haven't warmed up to our new allies in CoT. I will say what I've been saying for the past few months: just give it a chance. We're now full members and we have a voice in CoT affairs. It'll be an interesting experience, regardless of the outcome. I still think it could be the third way.

One thing I particularly like about CoT is the diversity of its membership. While EDEN and TWO are more focused on their European conflict, CoT acts in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Although some of its nations are small, each are given equal representation at the council. CoT is an alliance that can put out damage at all times of day. And with the eUS's full involvement, we just gave a huge boost to that damage. I believe CoT still has room to grow while TWO has hit it's limit and EDEN is still trying to maintain its viability. This is why I think Circle of Trust can be the third way, and the eUS is going to help them become that and more.

Secondly, I'm glad to see EnterAwesome won the Fed PP Primary this month. It will be interesting to see what she has in store for us, and I expect great things and new ideas to come from her administration. I'll keep searching for ways to serve our party and help her where I can to ensure this month goes by well. I also am interested to see the new leadership in other parties as well, and how their fortunes fair this month. While it's a bit early, we will likely start seeing presidential ambition emerging in the coming days, and we'll also get an idea of our potential presidents, which will be interesting to see. Though back to the point, I wish all parties a successful new month of party administration. Remember to listen to your party presidents and ATO HQ for where your vote will be needed.

It also appears we have begun a quest to regain our bonuses as seen by President Vanek's earlier article. While this is just one more bonus, seeing if we decide to continue this course will be quite interesting. Also worth mentioning is our new-found friendship with Mexico. Less than a year ago we were occupying the country, and now we have become close and partners in the same alliance. Its always interesting to see the changes and shifts that occur in this game, and the US-Mexican relationship, along with our overall involvement in CoT, is certainly evident of the changing tides of the game.

It's honestly been pretty quiet in the media lately, which is hindering my ability to come up with topics to write on. While I could write extensively on why you shouldn't vote for AFA, praising CoT and bashing EDEN/TWO, or try to make humor, but the first doesn't deserve the attention, the second needs more specific focus, and the last has not been my interest in this game. It is because of this that I encourage people to write more. You need to state your opinion and state it clearly. Write about yourself, your friends, and the events around you. Otherwise, you let others define the moment for you. Accept no one's definition of your life but your own.
