Hello Canada and CP, Cabinet and Members of Congress.
This is addressed to you all of the above, But many the last 4 people.
I ask today a simple request. Make public the discussion on our recent acceptance on a trial in CoT.
I, as a citizen of eCanada would like to know exactly how our acceptance of a trial member of CoT happened.
How our representatives acted on our behalf.
I don’t believe a Canadian changing decision should be made in secret in the backrooms of Congress.
We haven’t heard anything about what would be required of eCanada. Who can we ally? Can we still fight for old friends? Will we eventually have a say or do we just mindlessly follow CoT?
No one has had a chance to ask these questions except for our representatives we voted in. But oh wait, we can’t find the answers because there hidden in Congress.
So open the discussion in congress and let Canada see what our representatives said on our behalf.
As I finish, I don’t disagree with the decision to have a CoT trial. It could offer new avenues of fun and friends in this crazy eWorld. But I am unhappy with the way it has come about, Very quickly and very secretly.

We stand for transparency where and when we can, however alliances and war related items are very much in the lines of being behind closed doors. The MDP is currently requesting to move information about selling out Canadian regions to behind closed doors, do you agree with that?
nope, selling out regions eh? wonder what party did that....
This topic is being debated in Congress as we speak.
Strength and Honour
Canada's trial membership into CoT is a time for the leaders within the alliance to judge our position among the goals of the group. After 3 months they will decide if we are a benefit to the alliance or not. However we as Canadians can do the exact same, if we find out that our interests and long term goals are not the same then we can opt out. This I believe is a clear and transparent way of asking Canadians if they wish to join CoT. We can sit around and put words on the screen trying to explain ourselves, but at the end of the day, actions speak louder then words.
It is also in 'Article VI' of the Congressional Rule of Order that "Subjects to be included in Closed Door Congress may include but are not limited to: 3(a) New Alliances."
So basically you conclude that the eCanadian people should have no say in who we align ourselves with because of the CRoO,
We are a trial member, not a full member. No decision has been made other than trying them out. As for the CRoO, I do believe it is important, and unlike the bible, we can't just openly choose what is real and what isn't to suit our preference.
We can however, make amendments and exceptions. Most past Alliance decisions have been left to referendums, letting the citizens decide. Also, being a trial member declares intent to join as a full member as long as the trial period goes well. The lone fact that DMV's campaign points included him stating we would not join an alliance shows his breaking of his own platform with the trial membership. Not a good start as CP here.

Congress doesn't know either. We are treated the same as you are, like mushrooms. He feeds us $%^& and keeps us in the dark.
So I didn't miss out on much and my in-game vote for the alliance was not so nearly misinformed as I feared...I'm relieved to learn.

I am glad to see others are getting on-board. Membership in a new alliance, even trial membership is a large decision that should be made in public. The Usurper wishes to see eCan as CoT's (eUSA's) prison bitch.
