A sad day in eSA!
A couple of days ago there was a congressal vote to revoke Tenshibo's honorary citizenship in eSa. The vote ended with a bit over 50% in favor of the proposal.
Apparently a great deal of people have a hard time with Tenshibo being a bit rough around the edges when it comes to communication. However rather then to ignore this and enjoy his wits and the life he brought to the eSa forums they gladly wanted to deal out a punishment instead.
They talk about this as if it is the righteous fist of the people that struck down in the congress. Instead it is a few people who have strangely same manners and thoughts who somehow mange to end up in congress. These are the same people that want eSa to be like an abandoned western city with dust balls flying through it. Does IA rhyme with Jango Fett by the way?
But congratulations on making the eSa forum even more grey and dull! Yay!

UP (a couple of us anyway) Officially (unofficially) supports Tenshibo! (as far as I know, I'm in eCanada so screw you eh?)

The entire DB-political faction is trying really hard to make this a political issue rather than an ethical one. This has nothing whatsoever to do with the IA. This is utterly an ethical issue. Some IA members even voted against the proposal. I resent this!

I was very pro-freedom to post on the forums as well as looking out for eSA's best interests. I suggested a bold thing along with DB-PF members. That we keep eSA an inviting place. Instead of that, we shun devoted members as well as turn away others. "Welcome to Sunny eSA... sorry, there's an eclipse right now... hopefully it'll go away and these dark days will go with it."

After yesterday there isn't much of UP left as they decided to run for the hills instead if fighting for what they believe in. Sad day indeed! Let's hope we can all grow up and put this behind us and rather focus on our real problems!
@Tariq: This IS a political issue, but the entire DB-PF is not trying to make this about party politics. I'm not. But as you said, people won't leave because of what you guys did. Right?

@Rico, I am not running a blind eye to the problem at hand. I am actually already taking steps to discuss the issues mentioned above and by NRL from a party point of view. Instead of hammering the IA all day long why not approach us and talk business on how we can work together?!? Come knock on my door!

I'm hammering the naive assumption that making eSA an even more repressed place would somehow contribute positively to population figures.
I think we're seeing the first effects of congress' poor management of the Ten issue.
For crying out loud!!! This is not a flippin IA thing! There were quite a few IA members that did not vote vote yes. Quite a few IA members stood up fot Ten, myself included. Unfortunately I was not elected into congress, so I could not vote.
The whole Ten issue was personal. Just becauce mulderpf is IA, does not make this a IA thing. FFS, he even supported Cody in his presidential campaign! Next thing we hear is that IA is falling apart because mulderpf supported Cody...
For the record, I didn't technically support Cody, but I didn't support Vanessa either - I was dead quiet during these elections.
People see what they want to see. They seem to think that I am the god of IA (which means that I did pretty well when I was PP), but I'm not.
We are the biggest party because we don't have a unified voice - we don't tell people how to think. IA members are free to do what they want and support who they want.
@ mulder, that is exactly my point. Just because you are a member of IA, does not mean you speak for IA. The Ten issue was in you personal capacity. If you were IA PP, it would've been completely different.
Some people are just jealous of IA. They tried to derail IA with Nickers 'wrong post' and now they are trying it with Ten... Not gonna work people!! We still stand strong, regardless!

As an IA member I did not Vote for Tenshibo's punishment, and neither die Crumoet but as they say step on enough toes and you are bound to get bitten.
I hope this darkness descending over eSA is not a prolonged one and that we will come through it as a stronger nation.

I never mentioned once in any of my comments on this article its an IA issue. But it was a IA member that brought the charge against Ten was it not? And it looked like most of the people leading the charge against Ten were IA members. Im just saying is all.

@ Kiwi I was actually opposed to stripping Ten from his Honorary Citizenship and I am IA, so was quite a few others. Unfortunately we could not vote as we were not congressmembers, so what are you then saying?
IA has a lot of people in congress, therefore that party is in the line of fire in this article. I understand that not all IA are douchebags, these words above are intended to those who voted for revoking the honorary citizenship of Tenshibo. And this is a political issuse in the highest degree since such a stupid ban will affect the whole community for a long time.

Who is Tenshibo? Why does he think he is Jesus?
He has a forum account. He may speak like all others. But like all foreign guests he may not participate in government as a citizen would, since he is not a citizen. Yet he still does participate in government as a cabinet member.

Yes I am a member of the IA and in congress but guess what, I am DB as well, and being both never bothered me in the least, in fact it made me more the wiser.
I voted against having Tenshibo's rights revoked, not because I am DB, he knows he is a pain in the back side, but he offers sound advice to those who reads around his ravings and rantings.
