A few thoughts on the current MPPs system

Some months back, half dozen countries left the alliances they were part of, complaining that they got bored of this bipolar world where half of the countries are fighting the other half. Their reason was that they wanted to create a new world, with more alliances and more poles of power. The people in charge seemed quite genuine in their attempt, however they did lack something up there where intelligence is normally stored.
Today, half year later you can see how they failed. In the current MPPs system it is impossible to create "regional" alliances and "regional" conflicts, and the sole reason is that countries can MPP half of the world, or even the whole world if they want. So no matter how much Hungary, Serbia, Spain & Poland lobbied for changing the current alliance system it was impossible to do so.
Back then there were 2 poles of power which divided the eWorld - EDEN and Phoenix. Those few countries that decided to leave and betray their former friends have simply scavenged the old Phoenix pole of power and created another instead, with 3 former EDEN countries, 3 former Phoenix and a whole bunch of servants who do as their masters command. You know who you are

Let`s say Romania fights Hungary. In their support the Romanians can bring the Croats and the Bulgarians. Hungary brings Serbia and Macedonia. So far so good. But Hungary can also bring its allies from Asia and so can Romania. One country after another, the whole world will once again join the bipolarism. Of course, nobody stops Hungary and Poland to scavenge this new alliance and create yet another one, and considering their past it wouldn`t be surprising.
So right now, the whole purpose of ONE proved to be a failure. That unless it was a lie in the first place. That unless they knew bipolarism cannot be defeated but they just needed a "valid" reason to back-stab their former allies. Once again, if such the case, nobody would be surprised.
From Peru to Mexico to Slovenia to Indonesia, all ONE`s pawns help their master`s war effort. Not only Poland didn`t solve the bipolarism but they went to the other side, fighting their former friends like Finland or Croatia, and betraying them in order to make-out with countries like Turkey and Iran. Hope it was worth it lol.
Anyway, some food for thought for the admins. Why don't you simply change the MPPs system? Make countries be able to fight and help the countries they neighbor. Where`s the logic in seeing an Indonesian guy getting off his ass and fighting in the Croatian-Slovenian war without even being on the same continent!?
For as long as the MPP system is kept this way,the world will remain bipolar, and boring. When and if the MPPs system will change then so will the New World, with the rise of new alliances and new local powers. It`s not such a difficult thing to implement. And in the light of the latest changes, this one might actually be positive.

in the past eden/atlantis had majority of stronger countries, but phoenix/peace had many members so they could swap around , do surprising tactics, delay and bother alliance with stronger countries
now that all the strategy from the game is gone (including swaping) stronger alliance dominates without any chance for weaker alliance to compensate.. (in this case eden/terra)
its just brute force/mathematics and its boring as hell...
ist probably done so weaker alliance player buy gold more and tank more, but I think people would buy gold more if their country/alliance stood any chance on battlefield ....
Regional weirdness would be a welcome change. Would also back up the "I don't care about that continent" that everybody feels if their country isn't over there.

Almost every new thing in the game after V2 was made to stimulate gold purchasing.So if they actually do this, they will make the game more fun and less profitable => no changes. 🙂
The owners are probably trying to get as much money out of the game before mastercard users like depici(and I havent seen Romper tanking anywhere in a lot of time) realise that buying gold is pointless.
So we should find something better to do with our eTime than making suggestions to the admins about making this a better game for all of us.

small countries are afraid to propose a NE, because will be wiped from the map;
i want a system of bonuses & penalties: ppl who fight in an encircled province will do less damage than those who atack it, and so on.

Not so sure about that. I think that if they give ppl an incentive to fight at home and not for a country on the other side of the globe, the admin profits will also grow.
And even if ppl still wont buy gold, at least we can make admins hope they might in order to make changes lol

Wallachian, your reasoning is totally wrong. Poland, Serbia and Hungary are doing exactly that: demonstrating how this MPP system doesn't quite work by the fact that pretty soon they can conquer the whole world and there is nothing anyone, except admins of course, can do.
On the other hand there is nothing that they do that it isn't normal or legal, unless they use bots or something, because an alliance can be done between any countries in eRep so if some of them were smart enough to gather into this powerful formula is just that, smart play and nothing else.
Betrayal, unfair and other big words are nothing else but frustration from the part that is on the other side.
Get real people.
Having said that I totally agree that different way of being able to participate in fights could be benefit the game, in terms that one should not be able to fight unless they ARE in the region where the fight is occurring. Like in real life, countries should be able to mass troupes at the border where the conflict are most likely to happen.
Not that this would do eRomania any good considering that the most powerful of its enemies are still bordering it but this is not about eRomania, is it?
Nope, it really wasnt about eRomania, just a way in which to make combat more exciting and more "real" i guess. Because now the military module is absurd.
