[WRP] - A view from Parliament - Issue 23

Day 1,985, 06:33 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Huey George

Introduction

Last "A view from Parliament" from myself for a while as I'm no longer a member of Congress(Parliament) although the series will be kept alive by the Workers' Rights Party latest member of Congress ArnoldDjin in his newspaper Workers Rights P. Media. Which I'd highly recommend you click on the link and give it read if you have not yet. I have complete confidence in Arnold and he has all the makings to be a great member of Congress. Thanks also to the UKRP for sharing this faith and running him in their list for the Congress Elections.

On to the final four law proposals I voted on...

Law proposals

Completed law proposal are;

MPP

President of Serbia proposed a mutual protection pact with United Kingdom

I voted YES. As Serbia are a long standing and important ally who we are in the TWO alliance with.

The vote ended;
31 YES votes to 0 NO votes in the UK
34 YES votes to 2 NO votes in Serbia

MPP

President of Thailand proposed a mutual protection pact with United Kingdom

I voted YES. Like Serbia a fellow TWO member, a newer ally however no less important. Our citizenship have offered valuable assistance often in each others' conflicts.

The vote ended;
31 YES votes to 3 NO votes in the UK
27 YES votes to 0 NO votes in Thailand

MPP

President of Slovenia proposed a mutual protection pact with United Kingdom

I voted YES. Another fellow TWO member with a strong base of dependable citizenship useful in a fight and a vital to have an ally.

The vote ended;
32 YES votes to 1 NO votes in the UK
35 YES votes to 0 NO votes in Slovenia

MPP

President of United Kingdom proposed a mutual protection pact with Romania

I voted YES. A little bit of controversy surrounding this law proposal to say the least...I had data connectivity issues towards the end of my time in Congress(Parliament) limited my ability to read widely therefore my vote was cast based on the trust I share with the country president in the command of TWO. After all our alliance is what helped the eUK free ourselves from the Argentine and Irish invasion.

The vote ended;
34 YES votes to 11 NO votes in the UK
36 YES votes to 9 NO votes in Romania

Closing thoughts

I'd like to thank everyone for their support and kind words during my latest term in Congress(Parliament). As always it's been a honour for me and one a role I'd once again like to return in the future.

I think going forward it'll be a challenge for all members of Congress to prove their 'usefulness', there seems to be two quite distinct views of Congress of late. One that Congress just does everything the CP/Government requests and another that we don't earn our place by supporting government work and at best are ineffectual at worst destructive. Being part of Congress, I'd say most member of Congress are well read and informed before making our decisions and our advice is often seeked out and acted upon, we are not slaves to the Government nor useless and represent our constituents/the people well. However only increase transparency, openness and accountability will prove this. A few more Workers' Rights Party members would fix this...(however partisan politics aside all parties members of Congress can do this equally well)
