[WRP] - A view from Parliament - Issue 11

Day 1,869, 10:07 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Huey George

Preamble

The first "A view from Parliament" of 2013. With one outstanding law proposal to update you on from the previous article and four completed law proposals. Including what I see as a fantastic result for the average worker/citizen of the UK with an income tax reduction law proposal successfully passing.

Law proposals

The one outstanding law proposal was;

President of Brazil proposed a mutual protection pact with United Kingdom

I voted YES. This is because Brazil is a great ally for the UK to have. Brazil has aided us greatly in our battles. The MPP with Brazil allows our citizens opportunities at times to fight in their wars to gain experience. Therefore again I could think of no reason not to continue our MPP with Brazil.

The vote ended
39 YES votes to 1 NO vote in the UK
31 YES votes to 3 NO votes in Brazil

Four completed law proposal are;

First was;

Income tax change from 5% to 3%

I voted YES. It's been a long standing policy of my own and the Workers' Rights Party to reduce income tax to encourage spend, Less to the Government, more to the hard worker. It is only a marginal increase to daily wages admittedly however even a marginal increase will mount up over days, weeks and months. It could also be a good first step to improve the UK economy on a whole.

The vote ended
21 YES votes to 17 NO votes

The next was;

President of Estonia proposed a mutual protection pact with United Kingdom

I voted YES. Estonia is a solid ally for the UK to have. Estonia have been loyal allies aiding us in our battles. The MPP should also continue to allow our citizens to aid them in their our own battles.

The vote ended
31 YES votes to 2 NO votes in the UK
16 YES votes to 0 NO vote in Estonia

The law proposal which followed was;

Ireland has been proposed as Natural Enemy.

I voted NO. The general consensus of my fellow citizens, Members of Congress, Country President and his cabinet was that this was not needed at the time hence my vote.

The vote ended
7 YES votes to 26 NO votes

The final completed law proposal was

New Citizen Message

I voted YES. It seemed a reasonable set of alterations to the "New Citizen Message".

The vote ended
31 YES votes to 3 NO votes

As always I welcome the view of my constituents. Please feel free to comment or personal message me.

Closing thoughts

Country President (Prime Minister) elections are up-coming. My party the Workers' Rights Party have yet to officially support a candidate however personally I hope to see election campaigns with a strong focus on issues, policy and what each individual candidate and their team has to offer the UK not a focus on "why not to vote for another candidate". This way the electorate can decide who to vote for in a positive friendly community.
