Join the new world

Greetings to all readers of The Toiler. With the given interest and success of the previous interview with Joam02, I decided to get a new interview for this holiday week in the US, to be with the party president of the "Ejercito Rojo Argentina"(ERA) or the "Red Army Argentina", Gustavo35.

As with the last one, this article is published under the objective of bringing an internationalist perspective to the problems of the eWorld, to show case struggles and revolutionary work around the eWorld. Also, there were two versions of the interview, one posted in spanish [ES] and one posted in english [EN]. The English portion will be at the bottom.

Without further adu, let us get started with the Interview of our revolutionary guest, Gustavo35!

Bienvenido todos a quien leen este articulo. Un mensaje para ustedes. Este entrevista esta publicado en dos idiomas, en ingles [EN] y en espanol [ES]. La parte de espanol va ser primero, y seguiendo va ser la parte en ingles. Espero que todos de ustedes les gustan y por favor dejame su commentarios al final del articulo. Ya comenzamos el entrevista.

1. Buenas Camarada Gustav35, Gracias para hacer este entrevista con mi y todos de SFP. Quiero comenzar este entrevista en sabiendo un poco mas de usted, asi todos de nosotros podemos conocerte un poco mas. Cuanto andas jugando eRepublik y que te atraido a este juego?

Vivo en una ciudad chica del sudeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires en Argentina. Es zona agrícola-ganadera y sus industrias están relacionadas con esta rama. Juego eR desde el 2012 cuando vi a uno de mis hijos adolescente obseso con este game. Creí que seria algo que podíamos compartir en la relación padre-hijo pero al poco tiempo en que entre el abandono. En su momento me sentí un poco culpable por la invasión pero al tiempo lo supere totalmente y no pude dejar de jugar.

El inicio es un periodo medio desconcertante porque es difícil entender la mecánica de la toma de decisiones y peleaba mucho sin mucho argumento. Con el paso del tiempo sigo peleando pero con argumentos mas validos. Me encanta el aspecto social aunque no uso discord ni wassap para el game. Me suman a cadenas ocasionalmente cuando ocupo funciones oficiales.

2. Te considerarías un jugador activo?
Súper activo. Entro varias veces al día y mas cuando los ambientes políticos se caldean.

3. Tienes algunos momentos favoritos en este juego que usted nos puedes dicer?
uff muchísimos. no quiero hacer tanta historia porque escribo largo.

Recuerdo cuando fuimos gobierno el verano del 2013, fue una inmensa emoción mezclada con temor y pesar al mismo tiempo. Entramos por impich ya que la primer fuerza no pudo ejercer pues su candidato enfermo (Sr Limay, un recuerdo para el donde quiera que este). Cuando murió (virtual) elabuelo, fundador del partido y quedamos como huérfanos fue muy duro (vaya otro recuerdo para el).

Otro cuando parte del partido emigro a Cuba y caíamos del TOP sin ver piso. Cuando ocupe plenamente un ministerio en época de Chariny, en fin... muchos momentos reclamaron ponerme al pie del cañón y empujar no siempre sabiendo si la cosa saldría para bien.

4. Vi que eres el presidente del partido "Ejercito Rojo de Argentina"(ERA), nos puedes hablar un poco sobre ellos, y que te llamo a ese partido sobre los otros?
Somos un partido pequeño que es Escuela, todos estamos al servicio de quien recién ingresa, quien busca una experiencia formativa en el congreso o en los ministerios. Nuestra tendencia es socialista, entendida como la promoción solidaria de los mas débiles o menos adaptados. Somos republicanos y luchamos a muerte por la democracia y contra el autoritarismo o la dictadura. EL concepto político de frontera no tiene sentido para nosotros. Allá donde el poder se concentre nos encontrara resistiendolo.

Como decía en la primer pregunta desde que ingrese al game fui bastante contestatario. Este partido lo es políticamente. La democracia interna, el debate de ideas y posiciones es la regla.

5. En VR, usted subscribe al mismo ideologia del partido?
En esencia si. los valores del ERA los comparto en la VR aunque no soy militante político de la izquierda en argentina. La razones son muy complejas de abarcar en este reportaje.

6. En dia 3626, usted publico en muchos paises un articulo con el titulo "Agencia de Noticias Difusión Iberoamericana Sostenible, ANDES." nos puedes explicar mas sobre ese proyecto, y tambien tengo entendio que es algo relacionado a su otro proyecto con el "Plato Foundation" ?

La Agencia de Noticias Difusión Iberoamericana Sostenible, ANDES es un grupo de corresponsales periodísticos que emiten cada 10 días un resumen de noticias sobre su país. Esa labor es retribuida con un salario y tiene como fin movilizar e interesar a las personas en el modulo y la capacitación como periodistas.

Los fondos con los que se pagan esos salarios provienen en origen de otro proyecto anterior presentado a la Fundación Platonica, también relacionado con el modulo periodístico y que pagaba a quien publicase artículos en feeds distintos a su país de nacionalidad.

Eso producía un intercambio entre las comunidades y reactivaba feeds muertos o con poquísima actividad. Al decaer el impacto del programa original, el compañero Barriga Verde sugirió el cambio con el objetivo de poder volver a solicitar financiamiento de Plato y repotenciar el efecto en los feeds con mas publicaciones.

7. Gracias para sus respuestas hasta este momento, ya casi llegamos al finale de la entrevista y espero que no te estoy aburriendo! Ahora quiero cambiar para saber un poco mas de usted en relacion con Argentina, Ya que sabemos un poco mas de usted como jugador y sobre su trabajo. Que vez que es un problema importante en eArgentina y porque?


mmm... creo que Argentina adolece del problema que transitan casi todos los países de eR y que se arrastra desde que juego. El predominio del modulo militar sumado al decaimiento de población.

Eso hace que la parte interactiva de la comunidad, la información compartida, la estructura burocrática y formativa del Estado y los partidos, el consenso en la toma de decisiones y la planificación este acotada a pocas personas.
El argumento de que el que paga es el que manda porque sostiene las CO en batalla resta mucha capacidad a la acción política y genera un grupo de poder pequeño que pocas veces puede ser burlado.

Toda esta "compresión" hace que la gente tenga pocas formas de participar y determinar en forma fehaciente el destino del país y lógicamente se agote o no tenga la constancia necesaria para seguir el camino en el game.
Se requiere mucha fortaleza y ganas para ser gamer en eR hoy día. No todos pueden resistir.

8. Que estas haciendo usted o su partido, para resolver ese problema?

Nuestro partido a llevado adelante los proyectos cooperativos mencionados antes (Agencia de Noticias, Intercambio de Artículos) y mas, cuando hemos ocupado ministerios trabajamos en forma plural y abierta. Rendimos cuentas publicas de nuestros actos y manejos. Normalmente implementamos planes que son irrestrictos y abarcan a todos los latinoamericanos. Los equipos se conforman con asesorías internacionales, aun de países no aliados (fue Demonaire, un colombiano quien trajo la noticia de la Fundación Platonica cuando nos asesoraba en economía mientras ocupábamos el Ministerio de Bienestar).

No formamos grupos exclusivos sino lo contrario. El poder no se concentra sino que se comparte y todos nos potenciamos aportando ideas y participando en forma cooperativa en todas las tareas que emprendemos.

9. Tienes planes para eArgentina, y cuales ?

El plan para Argentina es llevar al ERA al gobierno algun dia. Mostrar que esta mecanica de trabajo da frutos. Creo que ese momento sera revolucionario porque no solo mostrara que el partido logro formar gente para ocupar funciones ejecutivas sino que la sociedad puede soportar diversas miradas del juego sin sufrir por ello.
Que no pueda un modulo tener supremacía sobre los otros porque resta espacio y expulsa gamers.

Que la comunidad en conjunto pueda elegir sobre el gasto de su dinero y sus prioridades en debate libre. Que los funcionarios sean servidores públicos y se deban responsablemente a la ciudadanía. Que la diversión sea para todos no para los que pueden marcar el rumbo y que el paso se armonice para que todos puedan marchar.
El tesoro publico se abrirá para que todos tomen de el lo que necesiten y no mas, y quien mas tenga mas aporte para que todos tengan igual. Y abra ministros argentinos, chilenos, cubanos, paraguayos, mexicanos y los equipos de gobierno trabajaran para toda américa al mismo tiempo.

Ese sera el día de la revolución.

10. Listo ya llegamos, a mi final cuestion! Gracias para su tiempo Gustavo35. Hay jugadores en eUSA y miembros de mi partido de SFP que va leer esto, hay algo que los quieras dicerles?

No conozco mucho sobre política en EEUU. El lenguaje y el traductor de google son barreras. Compartimos una vieja conversa masiva que mantenemos viva compartiendo artículos y me doy cuenta que en algún momento lucharemos juntos porque presiento que los ideales son comunes a ambos partidos.

A todos los afiliados les diría que no deben bajar los brazos. El rico opera una botonera y decide, al pobre para llegar a proponer o cuestionar le toca trabajar. En ese intercambio el débil pierde cuando se cansa, cuando se deja fluir, cuando ya no descubre medios nuevos para seguir proponiendo o deja de reconocer injusticias que denunciar a viva voz.

Ser de izquierda es un acto romántico por naturaleza. Es pelear aun sin ganar y la mas de las veces hacerlo con la certeza de perder. Pero ese acto, esa postura, esa fuerza porfiada es lo que marca la diferencia y genera humanidad a derroche.

1. Good day Comrade Gustavo35. Thank you for doing this interview , on behalf of me and those who are eager from the SFP. I want to start this interview with learning a little bit more about yourself, that way the audience will get to know you a bit more. How long have you been playing eRepublik and what brought you to it?

I live in a small town which is south of Buenos Aires in Argentina. This area is mostly rural and it’s industry is mostly agricultural. I’ve been playing eRepublik since 2012 when I first noticed one of my sons playing this game. I thought it was something we could share and play together as Father-and-son, but shortly after I joined, he left. At that moment I felt a bit guilty for invading his game but, at the same time I got real hooked and I couldn’t stop playing.

At the beginning it was a bit depressing because it was hard to understand the mechanics, such as which were the best decisions or fighting a lit but with little reward. With the passing of time, I kept fighting but I also got stronger. I enjoy the social aspect despite not using Discord nor Whatsup, for this game. Although, I do tend to get on those things for I’m doing official business.

2. Would you consider yourself active?
Super active. I frequently check throughout the day and even more when political situations get hot.

3. Do you have any favorite moments in the game that you can tell us about?

Uff! Well I have a lot! I don’t want take too long because it would be a lot to say.

I remember when we [ERA] were in the government back in the summer of 2013, it was an immense emotional time, with some fear and sorrow at the same time. We got in through impeachment since the first place party could not get their main candidate whom was sick (Mr. Limay, a mention to him, wherever he may be). It just so happened that when elabuelo, the founder of the party, died in eRepublik; we were left like orphans and it was hard for us.

Another was when my party immigrated to cuba and we prevented a PTO. When I took the position of the ministry in the era of Chariny, at the end, there were a lot of moments that demanded that I put my foot down and push on ahead, not sure if the result was going to be for the better.

4. I see that you are the president of the “Ejercito Rojo de Argentina”(ERA, Red Army of Argentina), can you explain to us about the party, and what drew you specifically to this party over others?

We are a small party which is a school, all of us are always teaching the new comers, and who are looking for experience in being a congressman or getting involved in one of our ministries. Our tendency is socialist, and we push for solidarity with those of little means or whom are weak. We are republicans and we fight until death for democracy against authoritarianism and dictatorship. The political concept of a ‘border’ has no use for us. There where the power is concentrated is where you’ll find us resisting it.


5. In real life, do you subscribe to the same ideology as the party’s?

In a sense yes. The values of the ERA I share with them in real life, although I am not a left-wing militant in Argentina. The reasons are complex to explain in this interview.

6. In day 3626, you published an article in many countries with the title “News Agency of Sustainable Iberoamericana,ANDES”. Could you explain a bit about this project, and I’ve understood that this is related with your other project with the Plato Foundation?

The News Agency for a Sustainable Iberoamerica, ANDES was a group of journalists and correspondents whom would write every 10 days, news about their country. That labour is paid in the form of a salary, and they had to drive interest to the media along with capativating the audience as journalists.

The funds , in which to pay their salaries, came from a previous project that was presented to the Plato Foundation, also it was related with the media module in where you paid whom would publish in specific feeds in their country. This produced an exchange between communities and revived dead feeds with small activity. When the decaying activity from the original program, a friend Barriga Verde , suggested a chance to the objective to re-apply for funds from Plato and revive the feeds with more publications.


7. Thank you for all your responses so far. We are almost done, so I hope I have not bored you! Now I would like to change the focus to understanding more about relationship with eArgentina, now that we know a little about you as a player and your work. What do you see as a big problem in eArgentina and why?

Hmmm… I think that Argentina suffers from the problem which affects all countries in eRepublik, which creeps in since I’ve been playing. The dominance of the military module in addition to the population decline.

I think that makes the interactive part of the community, the shared information, the bureaucratic structure, the State, the parties and the consensus in decisions to be done by a few people. The argument is that , he who pays is the one who leads because they sustain the COs and this reduces a lot of the political capacity and action, and it creates a small powerful group which is hard to challenge or mock.

All of this “compression” makes it so the people have few forms in which to participate and determine , in a reliable way, the fate of the country and logically runs out or does not have the consistency necessary to continue the change within the game. It requires a lot of strength and desire to be a gamer in eRepublik today. Not everyone can resist.

8. What are you or your party, doing to resolve this problem?

Our party is taking the new cooperative projects mentioned beforehand (the news agency, the exchange of articles) and more, when we were in the ministries, we worked in a transparent and plural way. We took public note of our actions and management. Normally we would implement plans that were unrestricted and incorporated all Latin-Americans. The teams were organized with international consultancies, even from non-allied countries (it was Demonaire, a Colombian who brought the news about the Plato Foundation when he advised us on economics while we were occupied with the Ministry of Welfare).



We do not form exclusive groups, but the opposite. Power is not concentrated but shared and we all empower ourselves by contributing ideas and cooperatively participating in all the tasks we undertake.

9. Do you have any plans for Argentina and what are they?

The plan for Argentina is to bring the ERA to power one day. To show that this will bring about the fruits of labour. I think that moment will be a revolutionary one because not only are we showing that for the party was able to get people to take up executive functions, but to show that society can support diverse outlooks in the game without suffering for it. That no module can have supremacy over others, because it reduces space and excludes gamers.

That the community, working together, can decide how to use their money, and their priorities in a free way. That the officials are public servants and are responsible for its’ citizens. That diversity is for everyone and not for those who can set the course and that the pace can be harmonized for all to march to. The public treasury will open for everyone to take what they need and no more, and who else has more input so that everyone has the same. And to have an open Argentine, Chilean, Cuban, Paraguayan, Mexican ministers and government teams, that will work for all of America at the same time.

That will be the day of the revolution.

10. We’ve now come to my final question! Thank you for your time Gustavo35. There players in eUSA and members of the SFP who will read this, is there something you would like to say to them?

I do not know much about politics in the US. The language and the google translator are barriers. We share a massive old conversation that we keep alive, sharing articles, and I realize that at some point we will fight together because I feel that the ideals are common to both parties.

I would tell all the affiliates that they should not lower their arms. The rich operates a switch and decides, for the poor to prosper and question requires work. In this exchange, the weak lose when they get tired, when they stop growing, when they no longer discover new means to continue proposing or fail to recognize the injustices that they denounce out loud.

Being left is a romantic act by nature. It is fighting without winning and most of the time doing it with the certainty of losing. But that act, that position, that stubborn force is what makes the difference and generates humanity from waste.
