[SX] My apologies to the society
SamalNSK
Some time ago there was a battle against dictatorship...
The society was divided into those who saw in the dictatorship of a peaceful life and those who saw it as slavery. Most chose dictatorship, and few fought against this decision. Was it a betrayal or heroism? The decision of the Congress was to recognize the actions of these men is a betrayal of the public interest. More then it - a betrayal of democracy, since the decision about the dictatorship was made of a democratically elected Congress. And they were
Times are changing, society is changing, but the belief in freedom and a democratic solution remains. So, as proud fighter against dictatorship I apologize to society for my belief in freedom which had gone against the decision of the Congress.

"but the belief in freedom and a democratic solution remains"
Except you decided to violate the freedom of others by acting against the very democratic solution you falsely claim to seek.
It`s only a game here... But sometimes we need few of us to understand how deep is our missunderstanding of "natural things". Those few may be rebels, criminals or herows - if something "good old stable thing" changes. I still hope that eUSA will not need dictator, even if it only democraticaly chosen one. Sometimes Plato doing realy bad things.
By the way, don`t you think that democraty depends of comunity? If only some people votes and others only 2-clics, then democraty turns to autocraty.
It doesn't. There are always non voters, at what point will it be an autocracy? As long as everyone is enabled to vote, it is democracy, regardless of them voting or not.
And he's apologizing right now, so stfu
Not at all. This is yet another #sorrynotsorry article that says sorry in words yet completely lacks sincerity in what it implies (at least, to me).
I at least stand for what I do, I don't attempt to save my face by apologizing in ambiguous vague terms while strongly suggesting I was right for doing it and I just needed to apologize to get back into congress.
On the other hand, I would have pardonned all those who got blacklisted. I don't believe in having people lose face by forcing public apologies.
You are trying to interpret the meaning of his words. Not good.
You are flogging him verbally because of his "sins" invalidating his motives. Not good at all.
Do you understand the concept of forgiveness?
It takes greatness to admit mistakes.
Hope to see you soon in congress!

For democracy!
Without freedom there is no democracy!
This is a hell of a lot more sincere that other apologies which were accepted...
