Hey America, This is a good day...

Needed some all-star hype music:

This is the official SHIELD follow-up to yesterday’s inter-MU Joint strike.

For those of you who did not already know, SHIELD joined together yesterday with two friendly MUs to make a truly massive Mass Attack. Together with Easy Company and Blacksheep we were able to effectively and efficiently deal massive amounts of damage for an ally in need. This was a crucial show of friendship between our three MUs, and I could not be happier about how it turned out.

Background

For quite a while, I’ve had the desire to foster a closer bond with a few of the other independent MUs in eUSA. We are all in a similar situation at the moment, can all relate to each other’s struggles, and have similar goals. Fostering an atmosphere of cooperation between these independent units can do nothing but help each and every one of us. Because of that desire, i came to SHIELD command a few weeks ago with the idea of doing a SHIELD deployment and involving a few other MUs. The idea garnered immediate and unrelenting support, and came to fruition as our Joint Strike plan.

The first MU on the list was Easy Company. As a former member of EZC, I knew the way that their command and culture worked. I was certain that Deepchill would be all for the idea, and would have his own suggestions to make it as viable as possible. Easy Company is home of an incredibly powerful and active Elite unit, and they are able to deal damage as well as any MU in the eWorld.

After Deepchill agreed that the idea would be a great boost to activity and comeradarie, the next MU that immediately came to mind was VMA-221 Blacksheep. Blacksheep is an MU full of interesting and entertaining members, and with a command structure that highly values the power of independent militias, they were an immediately valuable addition to our group. Their tenacity, conviction, and pension for fun made them the perfect compliment to SHIELD and EZC.

Attack Day

At 17:00 hours eRep time, our attack commenced. We decided to fight for our friend and ally eNetherlands against eNorway. The first attack was overwhelming, and members continued to fight until the end of the campaign. Our collective damage was incredible, and led to two of our MUs landing squarely in the top 5 for the day, as well as EZC securing the number 1 spot for the day. SHIELD was able to double its normal daily damage output, and surpass even eUS mil in kills for the day. It was the kind of effort that made a statement about the abilities and quality of our three units. This was only a portion of our collective power.

As for SHIELD’s individual kills contest, things went amazingly well. We had many people submit their kills and damage for the contest, and in the end the winner by a narrow margin was our D3 BEAST Crashthomspon. This is the second consecutive SHIELD contest that he has won. He is an incredible example of what hard work and determination can do for a SHIELD soldier. Crash should be a fighting inspiration for us all.

Message From SHIELD Command

After our recent efforts with EZC and Blacksheep, I personally believe that SHIELD has proven its worth within the vast field of eUS MUs. We have proven that we can hang with the best of them, and there are only great things on the horizon. I would encourage anyone to check out Easy Company or Blacksheep, but if you are looking for a new MU, you can only benefit by coming to check out SHIELD. Give us a chance, and you will never regret it. SHIELD is an up and coming MU full of interesting people that fight for the eUS and her allies. If that is interesting to you, then send BigCDizzle a friend request, and come join us ingame. We would love to have you.

That's it for now. Please join me in thanking all three of the MUs involved, and their Officers for putting this on.
