[INTERVIEW] An interview with Easy Company's stoic leader

Day 5,226, 19:52 Published in USA USA by Tito Magnus

Hello my loyal readers! As part of my determination to bring you the most up to date newsworthy stories, I have secured an interview with none other than the commander of Easy Company himself, Ubuntu21. In this interview Ubuntu clarifies for me and other new players what military companies are, what they do and how they operate. Read along as we do a deep dive into the military mechanics of this game!

Q1: So can you describe what exactly Easy Company and the other military units in the United States are? Are they a part of the formal United States Armed Forces or are they paramilitary groups?

A: We dont have any formal United States Armed Forces anymore, I think. Pretty much all of the bigger military units are indeed paramilitary.

Q2: How closely do these units cooperate with the United States government?

A: Most military units in USA are not very active. From the few active MUs like EZC, Space Force, Ghost Division and War Inc, most are cooperating closely with the United States government. Tho, War Inc hosts a big number of Cypress and other Code people. They, of course, dont fight for US belongings.

Q3: How closely does Easy Company cooperate with the United States government?

A: EZC has a high number of former presidents and a tremendous amount of people doing all kind of jobs within eUSA. Also the current president is a member of EZC, btw. We usually have the most updated combat orders for all open eUS battles. In real wars, its usually EZC who contributes the most. I'd say, we cooperate very closely with the United States government and its interests.

Q4: How did you become the leader of Easy Company?

A: Before I got CO of EZC, I was XO. I've posted orders, managed the commune supplies and other things. Now, when WhyDoIBotherToo left eRepublik, we decided to make me CO temporary. That is, I believe, 1 1/2 years ago.

Q5: As leader, what have been your priorities for the company?

A: Ever since I was interested in educating people military wise. The stronger every individual gets, the more stronger we become as a military unit and as a nation. I was also very fascinated by some countries ability to focus and lay down damage. I tried and am still trying to make EZC a powerful unit that can be called for US and Asterian offensive actions.
Other than that, I guess my priority is the community. I try to give people what they need, answer questions or link to others, make people able to find their way in eRepublik life.

Q6: What would you describe as Easy Company’s finest moment?

A: I dont really have a good answer for that, to be honest. And while thinking about it, I have some fine moments every day. When I enter eRep the first time for the day, orders are posted, questions by beginners are being answered by veterans, people help each other every day. Not sure if we have the same level of activity in other MUs.

Q7: How does Easy Company compare to the other military units out there?

A: EZC comparing to other MUs is as easy as it is. Just need to watch the numbers. We're usually the damage leading MU in air and ground in USA. Uncontested. Also as far as I know, in eUSA we are the only unit to give out supplies to our soldiers regularly. Compared to worldwide MUs there are others that can lay down heavy damage and have a high number of active people. Without checking numbers lately, I think we're among the top military units worldwide.

Q8: Is there anything you’d like to say to the rest of eUSA?

A: If you are still looking for a place in this big shitty eWorld, consider joining EZC, the best and most active MU in the world. We have great people in there, run a supply system for discounts on houses (Q1-Q3) and give out other goodies like food and weapons.
