Day 3,113, 20:17 Published in USA USA by GoneAndGone

Hello America,

Normally, when I’d start off an article about party business, I’d primarily address my party, however, this one isn’t just for my party, it’s for the whole country, who are munching popcorn over this most recent WTP-Fed drama. If you’re unaware of this, here is Hale26’s party address where he calls out the Feds, and, here is Hale calling out our Presidential Candidate Yui on the matter. By the way, go read Yui’s announcement article for his candidacy.

Coupled with these pieces is a nice little PM from Hale26 to myself, Paul Proteus, and Mr. Carey. I’m not gonna screenshot it because it is really not worth my time. If any of the other three wish to release those PMs, that’s their call. The only thing I’d like to touch upon from those is the PM was sent from Hale26 to us shortly after releasing his article.

Now, I’m not one to shy from drama, in fact, I dive in it. People love it. I received two text messages and a handful of PMs throughout the day wondering if I’d write a hit piece. So, to all you out there, waiting for a Tenshibo hatchet job, a hit piece, of something #savage, I hate to disappoint you, but I’m just going to stick to the facts here.

Fact one, I don’t endorse Sunshine’s actions in WTP. Sure, they were hilarious, awesome, delightful to watch, and truly a highlight in an otherwise boring eRep month. However, they also showed a complete lack of regard of respect for the people who elected him to the Party President position. In my younger years, I did something similar to Sunshine, and ruined an entire community. At the time, I thought it was great, but it wasn’t. This game relies on a certain amount of trust and mutual respect, even between adversaries and enemies. I’ve always carried a bit of shame for my actions, and thus, I shame Sunshine for his actions.

When Sunshine came to this party, and asked to be run for congress, I told him I’d consider it. And I did. And, to his credit, he was incredibly active on our forums and also helped out greatly in communicating key information to our party. So, despite Sunshine’s previous actions in We The People - all of which were quickly reversed by admins and he was temporarily banned for - when asked by Paul Proteus if we should run him, I said absolutely, and give him a good spot too. This community is too small to turn away active, helpful people, even if they damaged some inflated egos in their past. So, we ran him, published the list in game, and got him elected. End of story.

So to Hale26, and all of We The People, wondering if this was an oversight, or a slight against your party, wondering if we even considered how your party would feel when we ran Sunshine, I’m going to answer with some more facts.

This wasn’t an oversight.

We didn’t mean to slight you, but nor do we care that we did.

And no, we didn’t - even for the smallest of a second - consider how you all would feel. And here’s why:

You haven’t elected a president in a year and a half.

You’re the fourth ranked party, which these days, is like saying you’re an afterthought of an afterthought.

Despite being ranked fourth, you’re ranked fifth in congressional representation.

The previous month you were two votes away from being ranked fifth in congressional representation.

Before that you were second. Oops, I mean in a three way tie for second, and again, so close to being last.

And before that you were fourth, only three from being dead last.

And before THAT you were last. So nice improvement I guess, lol.

In cabinets you only have one person representing you this term.

In April you also only had one person in the cabinet.

In March you had none.

In February you also had none.

January - one.

December none… again.

November when Wild Owl - the #1 eSon of WTP leader Oblige was CP - you still managed to only have… wait for it… wait for it… two. Two member of your delegation serving in the cabinet of a very pro-WTP President.

Back to Hale26’s piece from earlier, even he touches upon your party falling further and further in activity.

Given all that, given your track record of going back on party deals, given your past history of running folks like Franklin Stone, given that the We the People is dead in numbers, dead in activity, dead in congressional and executive representation, why would we ever consider you in deciding party matters?

So that’s cute… you, condemning our actions. Good for you. Condemn away.

In the mean time, your entire party is condemned like a building ready to be tore down.

So, We the People, enjoy your cockroaches. Here in the Federalist Party, we’ll enjoy electing yet another Country President.
