[FED] YAY SHUJI

Day 3,313, 17:09 Published in USA USA by fingerguns

Forgive me this partisan indulgence for a moment. P/H is hard to contain.

I cannot express just how happy I am to see a changing of the guard in the Fed leadership. This party was designed to grow good players- to give them the education and resources they need to do what they want to do and an active, thriving environment to do it in. It’s where you learn what you’re good at. Because we do not neglect the importance of the Party, we continuously produce good players in national politics, MU leadership and the society, at large. Inside the Federalist Party, media can become a habit and learning how to effectively make a case and persuade those who disagree starts to come more naturally. Learning how to operate and oversee social programs is part of our culture, and there’s a safe environment to explore new ideas and create new opportunities and benefits for other players (without costing taxpayers money or screwing up anything huge). While we are rooted in our history and have built a solid brand, we encourage innovation among our members and always keep an eye on the future.

Shuji Ariwa is now stepping into the role of President in this great party and he brings with him some new ideas and his own vision. His staff is not made up of the last few Party Presidents, just recycling the same ideas over and over, but he’s bringing in many newer players and party leaders who are eager to learn and eager to lead. This is exactly as it should be and we are able to keep passing the torch because we are an inclusive party that operates out in the open. Every member has a voice and a front row seat to the decision-making and daily operation of the party leadership. Shuji’s plans for the party will take that even further. This allows active young players to get involved faster and helps leadership identify and focus on the next generation. It helps us all sharpen our game as nobody is quicker to call out a Fed than a fellow Fed. Nobody holds our party to a higher standard than we should hold ourselves.

The Feds, of course, are not perfect. But I do believe the Feds understand and embrace the powerful role political parties can play in this game, to the benefit of our nation and our community as a whole. I’ve personally always viewed political parties as akin to ‘local government’ and the Feds were built with that perspective in mind. It is not merely a mechanism to get on a ballot for something else, but it’s an end unto itself. It’s an important cog in the larger machine that requires attention and care. This is why it’s so important that our leaders are actually leaders and not just babysitting the buttons while they pursue other ambitions. It’s important that they decide the direction and the tone for the rest of us, and it’s important that our members (even former leaders) respect their authority. I may be Dictator of the eUS, but Shuji is my party leader.

Congratulations Shuji on earning the mantle of Fed Party President, and congratulations Federalists on continuing to be the most effective political party in the eUS. I am excited to see what these new Feds can do!
