Union Jack flottait fièrement au-dessus de l'enseigne.

Londres en cette saison était tout bonnement magnifique. Les quelques arbres qui ponctuaient ça et là les grandes artères de la capitale londonienne s'étaient teintés de nuances ocres et dorées. Les bâtiments imposants découpaient les rayons d'un soleil encore vigoureux malgré l'approche de l'automne. Leur ombre s'abattait sur le sol de manière implacable, si bien que l'on avait l'impression que des pans entiers de la ville étaient plongés dans la noirceur nocturne.

La petite ruelle dans laquelle je me trouvais n'échappait pas à la règle.

En marge d'une grande artère, coincée entre deux rangées de façades fatiguées, elle semblait être un microcosme dans lequel toute l'effervescence de la cité ne pouvait pénétrer. La lumière s'y faisait plus rare, les passants aussi. Tout paraissait indiquer que je m'étais engouffré dans un autre monde. Seul, le pub pittoresque devant lequel je me tenais, hésitant, tranchait avec l'implacable silence qui régnait dans la ruelle. Une rumeur à peine audible émanait de derrière la vitrine... J'entrai.

Les quelques clients se retournèrent dans ma direction lorsque la porte se referma dans un grincement métallique. Le patron, derrière son bar, leva les yeux vers moi et m'adressa un sourire cordial. D'un signe de tête, il me désigna une petite table dans le fond de la salle. Une personne semblait y être assise, mais la pénombre environnante m'empêchait de clairement distinguer ses traits. Je m'approchai.

"Bonjour, dis-je. Vous êtes Dishmcds, n'est-ce pas?"
La silhouette d'une jeune femme émergea de l'ombre.
"Oui, c'est bien moi. Bienvenue à Londres, monsieur Dhelk. Vous êtes pile à l'heure."





Je pris place face à elle, commandai un thé et commençai à travailler mon entrée en matière.

- Curieux endroit pour une entrevue politique", lui avouai-je.
- Peu commun, n'est-ce pas? C'est un endroit qu'il me plait de fréquenter quand j'ai besoin de tranquillité. J'ai mes petites habitudes ici.
- Je comprends. Est-ce un "repère" connu de beaucoup de monde?
- Au temps où je commandais l'alliance Phoenix, certains de mes conseillers et moi-même venions régulièrement ici. Certaines des plus grandes stratégies de l'alliance ont été élaborées autour de cette table, me déclara-t-elle, tout sourire.

Elle était décontractée et commençait déjà à me livrer certaines anecdotes. Le moment était bien choisi pour placer ma première question.

- Avant de débuter à proprement parler cette interview, Dishmcds, je souhaiterais vous féliciter pour votre récente élection à la tête de votre parti, le United Kingdom Reform Party. Un parti à la réputation très peu connue à l'international et qui pourtant a profondément marqué l'histoire de son pays. Pouvez-vous nous en dire plus sur son idéologie?

Elle fit la moue.

"Notre parti dispose d'une certaine aura internationale, notamment chez les plus anciens. Mais il est vrai que la plupart des nouveaux citoyens du Nouveau Monde n'ont pas connaissance de notre histoire. Pour en revenir à notre idéologie, c'est simple : nous reconnaissons ceux qui font ce qu'ils disent et qui disent ce qu'ils font. Les principes d'honnêteté et de transparence nous sont chers et nous gageons, à travers notre Charte, d'appliquer nos valeurs à chaque instant.

Je reconnais volontiers que nous sommes extrêmement exigeants avec nos membres et nos élus, concéda-t-elle. Pour vous donner un ordre d'idée, nous exigeons de nos élus qu'ils contactent les citoyens des régions dans lesquels ils ont été respectivement élus afin de dialoguer, d'échanger, de nouer un lien fort avec eux, tout en leur apportant aide et conseils. Nous imposons également à nos élus d'être impérativement présent à chaque vote de lois et, par principe de transparence, de communiquer sur le bilan de leurs actions à la fin de leur mandat pour que les électeurs puissent les juger. Nous ne sommes pas des dictateurs, nous sommes des représentants du peuple et nous ne pouvons, à ce titre, nous satisfaire de mesures purement électoralistes. Néanmoins, de par notre identité de parti de Centre-Droit libéral, nous ne sommes ni dogmatiques, ni extrémistes et nous tentons du mieux que nous pouvons d'appliquer nos idées en fonction des mécanismes d'eRepublik.

- Un parti aux valeurs très ancrées, donc, ce qui témoigne de l'ancienneté de votre parti sur la scène politique britannique. Comment décrierez-vous le chemin qu'a traversé le UKRP tout au long de l'histoire de votre pays?

- La plus grande force de notre parti, et ce qui fait notre différence, c'est bien évidemment notre ancienneté. Le Royaume-Uni a évolué avec nous! déclara-t-elle fièrement en s'appuyant au dossier de sa chaise. Depuis Janvier 2008, date de la création du parti, nous accompagnons notre pays dans les épreuves qu'il traverse. La constance de notre identité constitue aussi l'un de nos points forts. Au cours de notre histoire, nous n'avons jamais changé, ni de nom, ni de ligne politique. Cette constance nous confère ainsi une plus grande légitimité et une plus grande aura, tant sur la scène nationale qu'internationale.

Cet attachement aux valeurs du parti suscitait en moi un brin d'admiration et la consciencieuse application des dignitaires du UKRP à transmettre ces valeurs me laissait pantois.

- Bien, maintenant que nous avons largement abordé la question des valeurs de votre parti, je vous propose d'évoquer la position du United Kingdom Reform Party sur la situation internationale. Quelle attitude votre parti propose-t-il d'adopter vis-à-vis des différentes alliances?"

Dishmcds avala sa salive, pris quelques secondes de réflexion, puis se lança.

" Question délicate. Les prises de positions géopolitiques du Royaume-Uni sont largement sujettes à controverses, mais notre parti est clair sur ce point : nous préconisons de n'exclure aucune opportunité diplomatique qui irait en faveur de notre pays. Le récent bouleversement des alliances nous a placé dans une position inconfortable : d'un côté, TERRA, dans laquelle nous avons été brièvement impliqués, composée de nos alliés de toujours - la France et l'Allemagne - et fortement liée à d'EDEN avec qui nous n'entretenions aucune relation cordiale. De l'autre, ONE, et ses "superpuissances" avec qui nous avions des ouvertures diplomatiques. Il s'est vite avéré que notre propre intérêt ne se situait pas au sein d'une alliance. Nous devions choisir nos alliés en fonction de nos affinités particulières. Cette décision a eu un certain retentissement parmi nos alliés, notamment parmi nos alliés européens, la France et l'Allemagne, avec lesquels nous étions liés par le Traité de Strasbourg."

Je l'interrompis : "Justement, à cet égard, comment le UKRP considère les invasions successives de la France et de l'Allemagne par ONE?"

- Je veux être clair sur ce point : ce n'est pas parce que nous nous rapprochons de certains pays de ONE que nous cautionnons ni ne participons à l'invasion de la France et de l'Allemagne. En vertu de notre lien historique avec ces deux pays amis, nous souhaitons conserver une relation privilégiée avec eux.

- Merci, Dishmcds, de votre honnêteté sur la question. Je vous propose à présent d'achever cette entrevue par une petite question d'actualité : comment allez-vous gérer les élections du Congrès qui auront lieu dans neuf jours?

- L'Histoire peut témoigner que notre parti gère plutôt bien les élections du Congrès. Depuis quatre mois, nous parvenons même à frôler, ou bien à dépasser les 50 %. Me concernant, je suis impliqué dans la gestion des élections du UKRP depuis 2008, je vais donc certainement appliquer la formule qui nous a toujours rendu victorieux, m'annonça-t-elle en un clin d'œil...

Union Jack proudly floated over the sign.

London at this time of the year was plainly magnificent. Some trees which punctuated here and there the big arteries of the capital of England had been tinged with ochre and golden nuances. The impressive buildings cut the shelves of a still strong sun in spite of the approach of the autumn. Their shade came down on the ground in a merciless way, so that we had the impression that whole pieces of the city were plunged into the night-blackness.

The small alley in which I was did not escape the rule.

Outside a big artery, clamped between two rows of tired facades, it seemed to be a microcosm into which all the excitement of the city could not penetrate. The light made rarer there, the passers-by as well. Everything seemed to indicate that I had rushed into another world. Only the picturesque pub in front of which I was held, hesitating, cut with the merciless silence which reigned in the alley. A hardly audible rumor emanated from the shop window... I entered.

Some customers turned around in my direction when the door closed in a metallic grating. The boss, behind his bar, raised his eyes towards me and sent me a cordial smile. Of a sign of head, he indicated me a small table at the bottom of the room. A person seemed to sit there, but the surrounding twilight prevented me from distinguishing clearly its lines. I approached.

"Hello, I said. You areDishmcds, is not it?"
The silhouette of a young woman appeared from the shadow.
"Yes, I am. Welcome to London, mister Dhelk. You are exactly on time."





I took place in front of her, ordered a tea and began to work my introduction.

"Curious place for a political interview", I admitted to her.
"Uncommon, is not it? It is the place which I like to frequent when I need tranquility. I have my pet ways here."
"I understand. Is it a "landmark" known for a lot of people?"
"In the time, when I commanded the Phoenix Alliance, some of my advisers and myself came regularly here. Some of the biggest strategies of the alliance were elaborated around this table, she declared me, smiling."

She was relaxed and already began to deliver me some anecdotes. The moment was well chosen to place my first question.

"Before beginning strictly speaking this interview, Dishmcds, I would like to congratulate you on your recent election in the head of your party, the United Kingdom Reform Party. A party with a reputation not enough known on the international stage and which nevertheless profoundly marked the history of its country. Can you say to us about it more on its ideology?"

She pouted.

"Our party has a certain international aura, in particular to the oldest. But it is true that most of the new citizens of the New World have no knowledge of our history. To return to our ideology there, it is simple : we recognize those who make what they say and who say what they make. The principles of honesty and transparency are dear to us and we guarantee, through our Charter, to apply our values all the time.
I gladly recognize that we are extremely demanding with our members and our elected representatives, she granted. To give you an order of idea, we require from our elected representatives that they contact the citizens of the regions in whom they were respectively elected to have a dialogue, exchange, to knot a strong link with them, while bringing them help and advice. We also impose on our elected representatives to be present necessarily in every vote of laws and, on principle transparency, to communicate on the balance sheet of their actions at the end of their mandate so that the voters can judge them. We are not dictators, we are people representatives and we cannot, as such, be satisfied with purely vote-catching measures. Nevertheless, due to our identity of party of Center right liberal, we are neither dogmatic, nor extremists and we try to apply our ideas according to the mechanisms of eRepublik."

"A party with very anchored values, thus, what testifies of the age of your party on the British political stage. How would you slander the road which crossed the UKRP throughout the history of your country?"

"The biggest strength of our party, and what makes our difference, it is naturally our age. The United Kingdom evolved with us! she proudly declared by leaning to the file of her chair. Since January, 2008, the date of the creation of the party, we accompany our country in the events which it crosses. The constancy of our identity also establishes one of our key points. During our history, we have never changed, either of name, or political line. This constancy so confers us a bigger legitimacy and a bigger aura, both on the national stage and international one."

This attachment in the values of the party aroused in me a stalk of admiration and conscientious application of the dignitaries of the UKRP to pass on these values left me stunned.

"Indeed, now that we widely approached the question of the values of your party, I suggest you evoking the position of the United Kingdom Reform Party on the international situation. What attitude does your party suggest adopting towards the various alliances?"

Dashmcds swallowed, took a few seconds of thought, then threw :

"Hard question. The geopolitical shootings of the United Kingdom are widely subject to controversies, but our party is clear on this point : we recommend to exclude no diplomatic opportunity which would go in favor of our country. The recent turnover of the alliances placed us in an uncomfortable position : on one side, TERRA, in which we were briefly involved, consisted of our historical allies - France and Germany - and strongly bound to EDEN with whom we maintained no cordial relation. Of other one, ONE, and its "superpowers" with whom we had diplomatic openings. It fast turned out that our own interest was not situated within an alliance. We had to choose our allies according to our particular affinities. This decision had certain echo among our allies, in particular among our European allies, France and Germany, with whom we were bound by the Treaty of Strasbourg."

I interrupted her : "Precisely, in this respect, how the UKRP considers the successive invasions of France and Germany by ONE?"

"I want to be clear on this point : it is not because we get closer to certain countries of ONE for which we guarantee nor participate in the invasion of France and Germany. By virtue of our historic link with these two friendly countries, we wish to preserve a privileged relation with them.

"Thank you, Dishmcds, for your honesty on the question. I suggest you at the moment finishing this interview by a small topical question: how do you go to manage the elections of the Congress which will take place in nine days?"

"History showed that our party manages rather well the elections of the Congress. For four months, we succeed even in touching, either in exceeding the 50 %. Concerning myself, I am involved in the management of the elections of the UKRP since 2008, I am going to apply thus certainly the formula which always made us victorious", she announced me in a wink of eye..."
