In meiner heutigen Ausgabe möchte ich die gestrige Wahl analysieren. Da nur 2 Parteien angetreten sind hielt sich der Wahlkampf ja eher in Grenzen.

Stimmverteilung
Bei der Wahl wurden in Summe 142 Stimmen abgegeben. Davon entfielen auf die Austrian Unity (AU) 87 und auf die Party of the Horny Priness (PotHP) 55 Stimmen.


Das klingt zwar auf den ersten Blick ganz nett, aber Kongresswahlen sind traditionell ein Tummelplatz für Multis.
In dieser Wahl schaffte es nur 1 Kandidat mit einer Stimme in den Kongress. Dafür bekamen je 15 Abgeordnete 2 bzw. 3 Stimmen. Man sieht also, dass der Aufwand, in eÖsterreich eine Medaille und das Gold für einen Kongresssitz zu holen, sehr gering ist. In eDeutschland gibt es zwar 2 Abgeordnete mit nur 1 Stimme, dafür aber auch nur einen mit 2 bzw. 3 Stimmen. Man darf daher diese Stimmen nicht als Maßstab für die Aktivität unserer Bürger hernehmen.



Bei den Mitgliederzahlen hat die AU mit 59 Mitgliedern klar die Nase vorn. Die PotHP kommt nur auf 21 Mitglieder, also bei weitem nicht mal die Hälfte. Bei den Stimmen sieht es aber ganz anders aus. Bei der AU bedeuten die 87 Stimmen, dass theoretisch (wenn wir davon ausgehen dass alle Mitglieder Wählen) 32% ihrer Wähler von außerhalb der Partei kommen. Bei der PotHP hingegen liegt der Wert bei 62%. In anderen Worten: bei der AU war nur jeder dritte Wähler nicht Parteimitglied, bei der PotHP hingegen ist das bei 2 von 3 Wählern der Fall. Was dies bedeutet kann sich jeder selber ausmalen.

Mandatsverteilung
Bei 2 Parteien schaut die Mandatsverteilung recht langweilig aus. Allerdings gibt es auch hier interessante Entwicklungen.


Das sieht noch recht ausgeglichen aus. Spannend wird aber die nächste Grafik.


Man sieht also dass in der AU ca. 40% der Mitglieder ein Mandat inne haben, während es bei der PotHP 81%. Interessant ist auch eine Ansicht der Leute die nicht gewählt wurden.


Wenn man sich jetzt ansieht wie viele Kandidaten es auf beiden Seiten gab wird einiges klar:


Jedes einzelne Mitglied der PotHP hat sich aufgestellt. Oder in anderen Worten: man tritt nur der PotHP bei wenn man einen Mandatsplatz haben will (pro Partei waren nur 7 pro Bundesland zugelassen).

Fazit
Wir haben wieder einen großen Kongress. Das ist schon mal etwas Schönes. Allerdings muss befürchtet werden dass ein großer Anteil davon entweder selber ein Multi ist, oder aber von Multis gewählt wurde, um das Gold und die Medaille abzustauben. Man sollte ein wachsames Auge auf neue Einbürgerungen haben, da wir hier vielleicht bald Bewegung feststellen werden.

In my today’s issue I want to analyze our congressional election. Since there are only 2 parites competing the campaigns were rather limited.

Distribution of Votes
In thiselection a total 142 votes have been cast. The Austrian Unity (AU) received 87 and the Party of the Horny Priness (PotHP) 55 of them.


This might sound pretty nice. But winning congressional elections with multis has a long tradition.
In this election only one candidate managed to get elected with just 1 vote. But we have 15 candidates with just 2 votes and another 15 with 3 votes. As you can see it’s not that hard to get a seat in the eAustrian congress. In eGermany we have 2 people with just 1 vote. But they also have just 1 with 2 respectively 3 votes. So you must not use this numbers to measure the activity of our citizens.



If you compare the number of members the AU is clearly in lead with 59 while the PotHP only has 21 members. But if you look at the distribution of the votes you can see a totally different picture. For the AU 87 received votes mean that theoretically (because some members are inactive) 32% of its voters are not member of their party. But for the PotHP it’s 62%. In other words: while one out of three voters of the AU is not a member of said party fort he PotHP it’s two out of three. You can imagine what that means…


Distribution of Mandates
With just 2 parties the Distribution of Mandates is rather boring. But again with have some interesting facts here.


This first statistics looks well balanced. But here comes the kicker:


As you can see around 40% of the members of AU are a member of congress while in the PotHP this is true for a stunning 81%! It’s also interesting to look at the people who have not been electe😛


And now have a look at the number of candidates of both parties:


Every single member of the PotHP ran for congress. Or in other words: you only join the PotHP if you intend to get a seat in the congress (because there are only 7 candidates possible per party and region).

Conclusion
We have a big congress again. Now that’s something good. But you have to assume that a big part of it i seither a multi or at least was elected by multis with the sole purpose to get a shiny medal and some gold. We also should have an eye on the CS requests as we might see a lot of movement there in near future.
