[CP election] The strength of Australia is greater than any enemy

Day 2,143, 10:49 Published in Australia Australia by Lord TJ

Good morning Australia

In RL the time is currently 3:22 am (3:50 am at post completion) and I'm about to head to swim training with my wife as is our occupation. For the better part of the past 2 days I have been in discussions with my DPM nominee Ranger Bob, observing the views of the community and reading the statements of our outgoing Prime Minister. I wish to make a few comments on some of the things raised.

THE AUSTRALIA-ARGENTINA PACIFIC STRATEGY

As you will have seen, the current Australian Government has ordered troops into South America to take up with Argentinean forces in the battle against Peru. That is to put it accurately in accordance with game mechanics. Peru has been one of two major antagonists on the South American continent, the other being Chile. I wish the Argentinean people much success with their campaign.

In a time of wipe and the enthusiastic cause of revival, the collective efforts of outgoing and incoming governments, as per the election timeline, must be clearly understood. I accept that I have no standing to speak at this time nor do I desire this message to be misinterpreted as a lack of solidarity. I believe I have been a good friend to many members of this government as they do the nation's work.

That said, the people must also know that candidates, however popular, supported, or whatever manner they're drawn from in the political process, also have a voice of their own and they are free to exercise it.

Here at home, the current and alternative government teams have drafted and actioned battle plans, independently, to combat the threat of FYROM and Indonesia. My best wishes go to the Australian Government on the delivery of their efforts in the past and coming days.

THE IMPORTANCE OF A SMOOTH TRANSITION

In 3 days time there will be a transfer of power in all of the these countries - including ours. I make no secret of the fact that this 11th hour campaign so close to election day has created a sense of uneasiness. Let's not confuse that feeling with pessimism, for I have no doubt the Prime Minister's intentions were sound.

People have asked for my view. They have a right to hear it and I want to speak now about it.

My policy is I do not desire a protracted military campaign without an equally, immediately actionable battle plan to reclaim our own regions as a matter of stated course from inception, with firm timetables and allied commitment prior to initiation.

Additionally, I do not wish to see the further heartbreak of this fractured island state, or the blood of our allies unnecessarily spilled on the battlefield when all of the above can be limited to a structured effort of timing, wise resource use and purposeful accomplishment.

Therefore, I have asked the government as a courtesy to include us in classified transitional briefings. A precedent has been set by previous Prime Ministers, most notably former PM irule777. Knowledge is power when the hymn sheet is shared around. That way, when the next government comes to office, any last-minute items can be effectively noted. Added to that, I have requested that the government show due courtesy to the incoming administration if contemplating long-term policies that exceed their mandate.

WE STAND READY TO GOVERN

Australia is ready. Under a government I lead, the team that joins with us on this journey is eager to proceed with new policy that proclaims the common bonds of allied involvement, the prosperity of peace when offered and the unmistakable siren signalling the march towards enemy engagement - the trinity of eRepublik foreign policy and military mechanics.

The time is nigh. Now.. let's get our country back.
