Join the new world

Hello! My name is Tito Magnus and I am running for Party Presidency of the Federalist Party. I know what many of you all are thinking. Who is this guy? He’s running for Party President at level 23? He joined a week ago? But before you rush to judge me as a noob in over my head, I ask you to read my promises and my policies, then feel free to judge me as a noob. "Who is this guy?"

I actually used to play eRepublik back in the late 2000’s. It felt as if the eWorld was much simpler back then; companies were easy to run, there were only two major alliances, and wars were waged easily and with relatively few rules. Unfortunately I left eRepublik, but I have returned in order to help the eUSA in its epic online struggle to liberate the world from tyranny and stand up for the rights of all mankind! To that end, I have joined the Federalist Party, who I believe represent my beliefs and ideals and will help guide America and the world into a better place. "He's really running at level 23? Didn’t he just join a week ago?"

I’m sure many of you will immediately judge me by my lack of experience and the short amount of time I have been back on eRepublik. And to be honest, you are right to do so. I have only been back for a week, however in that time I have talked to numerous high-ranking government officials as well as seasoned players learning the basics and the intricacies of politics, economic, and military life in the eWorld.

I was taught to swim by being thrown, literally, into the deep end of the pool. And while I did almost drown (and thankfully didn’t) I did learn to keep my head above the water. That is what I am doing now. To get back into this game I am diving headfirst into party politics to get to grips with the nitty gritty of this game. And while I may be relatively new and inexperienced, I have already been mentored and taught by a group of solid players, including our own President Kody himself, about this game’s mechanics. Their wisdom and expertise can help make up for any shortfall in my own experience. "So what does this guy bring to the table?"

As far as I see it, the Federalist Party is in a prime position to expand as the major and dominant party in the United States. Being only two members shy of matching the “We the People” Party in Congress and with another term secured for President Kody, the Federalist Party must now act to secure a Congressional majority.

That means two main things: 1) Expanding the player base and; 2) Keeping the player base we have.

As Party President, these two goals would be the priority.

1) Expanding the player base

By expanding the player base, I mean recruiting more players to eRepublik and recruiting more eUSA citizens to join the Federalist Party. To that end, I would encourage and incentivize people to invite people to the game and would create positions to reach out to new citizens or citizens looking for a party. When I first signed up I was completely lost in the political spectrum, and I’m sure there are many more like me who similarly did not know what each party stood for, wanted or sought to achieve. By creating outreach personnel, we can reach these new citizens and guide them into the Federalist Party and give them a chance to be active politically.

2) Keeping the player base we have

The Federalist Party already has a good player base of solid, active and intelligent players. However in order to keep everyone involved and active, we need to ensure there’s something here in the party that keeps everyone’s attention. This could be party contests, lotteries or other player-run events to keep our party involved and active. President Kody has already launched on a national scale a few writing contests to encourage activity amongst the eUSA. Much smaller-scale events can be launched to encourage activity in our party. By keeping our party active and involved we ensure our party members don’t leave the game and are involved in the party’s activities. I hope you will read this and at least not completely brush me off when reviewing the list of PP candidates! I am young and relatively inexperienced but still eager to learn and driven to succeed! As PP I will invigorate our party and ensure that we maintain a healthy, active and expanding player base.
