Building Community, thats what matters

Day 5,968, 06:33 Published in Slovakia Slovakia by Nathan5

Dear Friends,

I am very happy, because today returned back to Slovakia our longterm Slovak player, Martin Strecha and I promised him big Celebrations 🙂 when I go to Bratislava shortly, we will definitely have some good slovak beers, but for now, I want to share the story. He was living lately in Croatia, by reasons of history and also ranking issues. He is big tank, also good pilot. And now, I can finally show him place in Slovakia, where we can give our players environment full of Training wars to develop the rank, gain gold for other nice things, adventure, epics and most importantly - good community.

When I returned last year, I was so grateful for welcoming me back by Jozef Danko, Lacionne, SA Petersen, Ludiacus and all other Perun guys, sent me many things, they cared. Explaining situation we were living in. This is really good team and they persist their Mission. We care for new players and also for our people out in the eWorld to make the conditions right for their rank to develop, for the game to enjoy. Sometimes we are naive, which happened to me this week where I sent with Jozef substantial amount of weapons and money to new account, which showed later to be google translator 😃 well, this happens, everywhere..but we remain our Mission. Then, we are visited by another guy from elsewhere, George, who wants to know our country, traditions, traveler, so we are open and welcoming to him. It may show up in future he would vote against the interests of Slovakia, who knows, but we will try our best to show him this place as best we can.

I also found few days ago my 15 year old website, which served as Slovak Community recruitment page back in old days. Hosting company kept it alive to this day, to my surprise! For sure, they think it must have been slovak cultural heritage 🙂 It is kinda moment when you go back to your memory of moving your first Settler in Civilization 1 to found a city. Precious.

We live in a time, when Plato does not do what he promised us many years ago, to take care of us, develop features, new modules…and many people are slowly leaving the place because of this frustration. But not we! Instead, we try to use what we have here. It starts with good communication and willingness to do sometimes steps into unknown.

With good people around you, everything is possible. I want also to thank my greek friend Citizen Erased, who serves as our MoFA and I can tell, I would not be able to develop all these things without his council, energy and effort. I am sometimes hothead, many times actually, but then I see Jozef Danko and his diplomatic approach and this is huge help.

So message to all, small and big countries as well. Take good care of your people, community, try to communicate your ideas well, respectfully and do the effort not to see negativity, but to see positive things around.

And now, few acrobatic flyovers to salut our friend Martin Strecha.

Yours,

Nathan
