Ladies and gentlemen. Fellow WTP members.

When I came back to eRepublik fairly recently, I was in a unique situation. As I saw it, I had a unique opportunity; a unique perspective. I was stuck somewhere halfway between old fart and new player, with, as I saw it, the best of both worlds. I remembered the “good ole days” and knew how certain things got done, yet I didn’t have years worth of grudges and baggage to follow me around. I was stepping back into a game where the player base was much smaller than I remembered, yet the country still had its partisan divisions and yelling matches.

Soon after I returned, though, I was fortunate to be offered a position on Tyler Bubblar’s presidential cabinet. It was not a single-party cabinet by any means. It was a cabinet assembled by an experienced CP, made up of people from parties that on a normal day would be at each other's throats in congress and in article comments. In the context of the executive, though, despite being surrounded by people of differing parties, I never once felt that party divisions mattered. In fact, I've never been forced to stop and think about which party any of my fellow cabinet members are in. We are a team, and we’ve all been working well together to put our nation in a better spot than when we found it.

I told you that story to tell you this story. One of the friends I’ve made since I came back, someone who shares a similar perspective as a returning player, and someone else who’s seen what I’ve seen in terms of people from different parties being able to work together, is now running for PP of my own party. That is KingTaco.

You may have seen him around. He’s been building/maintaining a lottery website, which now hosts multiple lotteries, food/weapon programs, a housing program, etc. He’s been helping the admin of the eUS Forums to work some API magic and deliver a system that links communications between platforms. He’s been overhauling the DoI and delivering new help programs for US citizens. He’s been putting more effort into this game than me on a good day.

Ladies and gentlemen: He’s energetic, he’s philanthropic, and he’s ready for the job. I officially endorse KingTaco for WTP Party President.
