[eIre CP] CP Update: Romania Situation, TW's galore and more

Day 4,598, 20:27 Published in Ireland Ireland by Aras an Uachtarain

Greetings eIreland,

Well eIreland, I hope you all had a great weekend and managed to enjoy yourselves. For me and your government team, a lot of our weekend was involved on Telegram trying to co-ordinate some sort of good news about the multiple situations we are currently facing as an e-nation. While the end result was not one that we had hoped for, it is something that we can live with.

Dáil Éireann

The Dáil Éireann has organised a funds transfer from our countries account into the CP Org, this money was used to help fund the Air Program (which is normally a monthly charge of 400k). Aimeisan is still doing a wonderful job of running this program and ensuring our young pilots are ranking up to make sure we are strong in the air rounds.

Also Congress/Commune have been kept in the loop some what with the situation all around. Unfortunately as you all would understand negotiations can be time consuming and end up going around in circles. So with this in mind, some times I have not informed congress of every second message as it might be changed after an hour. So I do want to say "sorry" to congress, but if you read my telegram messages, they are pretty long with back and forth discussions.

Military Operations

This area has been quite busy, but also pretty simple and straight forward. We have been lucky to have two on going training wars and unfortantly we had a RW flare up in Mayo, which was quickly put down by Polish and Irish fighters. So to touch on everything.... here we go:

Poland Poland currently hold Mayo and Cork at our request. If you do see a RW flare up, please do not fight in it (or just fight for Poland). We are gaining economic benefits from this deal. It is known that the determination is getting higher in these regions and as such your government is looking at other nations that could replace Poland. We will keep you all abreast of this search.

Indonesia Indonesia recently has a change of CP as the last one was voted out by impeachment. The new CP has already reached out to eIreland and passed on their well wishes. We have since continued with the current training war we have with them. This is proving very beneficial to our fighters, who are able to gain gold and cc from TP's and medals. Our governments have committed to keep this TW going on.

United Kingdom The UK recently entered into a TW with eIreland. This is also a ping pong style Training War. Whilst the battles are in the same style as Indo, we are both using our own regions (yes I know NI truly belongs to us 😛 ), so the main difference when compared to Indo is the "taxes back" aspect. The UK has also entered into a training war with Indonesia, this brings our three nations closer and I am happy to be working with both as they are old friends.

Ire/UK/Indo TW Agreement Due to this increased friendship and TW between member nations, our three countries have signed an agreement to honour and help each other out in keeping there TW's going strong. Please see below for this agreement.

Armagh Protocol (UK/INDO/IRE)

The United Kingdom, Indonesia and Ireland commit to friendly relations and a multilateral training war:-

UK - IRE will ping pong between Northern Ireland and Louth;
UK - INDO will ping pong between Wexford and Wales (initially);
IRE - INDO will ping pong between Dublin and Wexford.

The above parties agree in principle to assist their counterparts in the event these TWs are disrupted.

The above parties agree to promptly liberate a region if taken (other than Indo in Wexford).

The above parties agree to return all taxes from occupied regions.

The above parties agree to allow one weeks notice if intending to withdraw from the above agreements.

The Romania Situation

Well well well, what do I put here.... If I am hundred percent truthful and talk about everything in detail, I would probably write enough to feel 10 newspapers. So I will keep the truth in it, but I will try and compress it all into a few paragraphs....

After quite a bit of discussion, sometimes heated and sometimes leaving me with a desire to bang my head against a wall, Ireland with the help of Indonesia presented what everyone thought was a pretty decent agreement to all parties involved. This still had Romania paying the low ball figure of 375k a month and them leaving eIreland (they also had the option of holding onto Mayo if they wanted a region Strategic reasons), it also had Indonesia willing to pay another 125k a month to bring up the Deer rental to 500k, which is a standard fee. However this was rejected by Romania.

The Offered Deal:

1. Romania will rent Deer from Ireland for 375k a month. Indonesia will pay Ireland 175k a month for the length of this deal.

2. Romania can take the Irish region of Mayo allowing Ireland access to Romanians weapon bonuses and provides Romania with a region in the area for strategic purposes.

3. Ireland will control the regions of Cork, Shannon and Dublin.

4. Estonia will receive the region of Louth for which they can have TWs with Ireland (Dublin/Shannon), United Kingdom (northern Ireland) should this be agreed separately and Indonesia (Wexford)

5. Indonesia will remain in Wexford and maintain their Irish TW and engage in the Estonian TW as mentioned above.

6. Ireland will operate TWs with Estonia in Louth, Indonesia in Wexford and UK in Northern Ireland

7. All Irish taxes are to be repaid monthly by all parties occupying an Irish region. Romanian concession fee derived from GDP. Remaining GDP to be repaid every 5 days.

Note: This above is edited to a "final" style of agreement after the original was further discussed... it was a long discussion

From where Ireland stood, it looked like all the t's had been crossed and all the i's had been doted... but alas, apparently it wasnt. Originally after I was elected, Romanian MoFA Vladb, had stated Romania want Deer (Point 1 of the agreement), they wanted a strategic region (Point 2 of the agreement), they also wanted a say in who we had TW's with (Point 4 through to 6), but when this offer was presented, it was rejected because "apparently" they didnt want to sign an agreement with any other countries.

So now we are where we are now... basically life goes on, Romania is holding out in Shannon as well as pressuring Indo to give them Louth. Ireland is having TWs on our terms and renting regions on our terms. Life goes on.

Economics Plans

As touched on above, I have allocated 400k to the Irish Air Program. I was hoping to have the Romanian deal go through so we could encourage/sponsor WRM factories to be built in Mayo, but this never eventuated. However idea of increasing our manufacturing hub is still on the table, if we can find a replacement for Poland.

Sorry this aspect of my term is taking it's time.

Well that was a bit of a read, but I did say that I will try and keep everyone informed of the happenings in eIreland. If you have any questions, please pop them down in the comments or send me a PM. Otherwise, if anything changes, I will do my best to try and keep you all informed.

Your humble servant,
Rusty D
