Today we are all Citizen-Scientists!

The thanks of all of us at Spam-HQ go to everyone who voted for us, with a shout out both to our members and to those of you outside the party who backed us.

Your support has turned what most would have expected to be a bog-standard election into the first congress race in MONTHS which has seen the vote share not distributed along party ranking, and the first in YEARS that hasn't seen the biggest party take the largest share of votes. Not only that, but it is the first election EVER* in which the 3rd largest party by size has come first on election day.

Another big achievement is the UK's turnout, which hit 75. I am personally very pleased to see more engagement on election day and have long-hoped that some interest could be brought back to epolitics.

It has been my belief for quite a while that there is interest in our political module underserviced by the laissez-faire offering of other parties and it had been a shame to witness politics turn to a stale sandwich. That is why 3 months ago the Spamicans tore the crusts off that sandwich and got some fritters sizzling. I hope this Spamdslide is something we can replicate and that we can continue to enjoy your support. I hope even more that it proves the old ways won't be rewarded by voters.

And with that being said, we promise to keep offering:
Engagement - of our Congress and members!
Variety - giving you an actual choice on election days.
And a shed-load of Personality! Spam is vibrant! (and has a pinky sheen).

Lastly, we also offer open doors! You can be a Citizen-Scientist too, no matter who you are or your political background, if you are engaged and interested in this game then hop over and see some of the vibrancy for yourself. The Spamicans are a community of engaged, light hearted and fun players (PLUG - Enter my Art prize! - FINAL DAYS TO PARTICIPATE!) who will support your voice. We are a broad church who, more than anything else, have joined the party to put some life back into politics. If you've read this far down you'll fit right in!

If you have been thinking of joining and lent us your vote then consider that if everyone who voted for us joined up we would be the 2nd largest party, snapping at the toes of the largest. As keithunder points out, we are officially an electoral force with seats to spare so if you want to give Congress a go, or give it another go with a party who has your back, then join up!

Years ago I was asked to be King of the eUK. Regardless of that institution no longer (formally) existing I marked it by establishing a few charity schemes to encourage newer players to get involved. These schemes are still running Feel free to message me for some free stuff if you are level 1-50 and meet any of the following criteria:
