Something that defies Logic - At least to me
Angerforge
As I enter the various battles that I chose to fight in, I often find that the same player has done battle for both sides. If this was a one off occurrence then I would pay it no mind. However this happens all the freaking time!
So and so has highest battle score on BOTH SIDES of the SAME Battle?!? I mean WTH is up with that? Is there some kind of strange logic that I have missed in all my years as a part of the eRepublik?
Has there been invented some special formula that awards super secret squirrel points for fighting on both sides of a battle?
It's my observation and it's somewhat mind numbing to me that this continues to occur with some regularity.
One thing I have also noticed, Party Presidents, really don't have jack of shite to do other than propose candidates for President and Congress. Parties otherwise don't seem to serve any practical in game purpose. It's Congress and the Administration where the actual political action takes place. Seems like the admins should consider expanding some of the reach of political parties outside of congress and the administration.
Just my .02 YMMV

In lower divisions its easier to win BH. But you are limited to the amount of Fuel you have. When you hit on both sides you spend 1 Fuel and go for 2 BH.
The majority of Wars are for training. So using this strategy in the right Battles its very profitable.
it only thrives on the success of intimidation tactics ...
No intimidation needed - just need to be practical - with many D1, D2, D3 BHs going unclaimed & the fuel limitation why go for a contested BH when you can get 2 of your own
If more D1, D2, D3 players become active then this could change
One thing to remember is if do this in TWs - make sure the "right" side is winning - since if someone has to "waste" a fuel to fix the wall they will likely take the BH
With all due respect (because I do respect your game), imitation does play a big role, at your level maybe not at all, but I get pretty petty childish rants when I go for a SH against certain players. My point being I never hit after you if I seriously want a SH, experience has taught me to be careful of the fights I pick (even when you do only 20k and I can double that, your account is that intimating)
I get my share of SH some days are easy and others difficult.
SHs are vastly different than lower division BHs. If you check you will find many D1, D2, & D3 TW battles with no hits on either side. Especially D1 & D2 - since folks with MP will very rarely take a D1 or D2 BH in a TW (unless that is their native division).
Voted!
I look for training fights between our enemies and take both Air Hero awards. It only costs one fuel and one booster, and deprives the enemy of 20 gold.
Hey I've got a few answers for you.
People fight on both sides of a battle because its easier to farm gold and save fuel that way. You only use 1 fuel to fight on both sides of the battle instead of 2.
About parties. The reason you don't do much as a party president is because you've chosen a party that has no influence and never will because of its history with the country, i can tell you more about that in a pm if youd like.
If you want to get involved politically id recommend joining a more active party of your choice. WTP/Feds/uswp/sfp/506/bsp/rough riders are among the choices id make.
No one cares about your opinion PTOer.
Go log on some more accounts with Josh Frost to steal parties from real people.
Go away stalker. Go back to your mother's basement.

"It's Congress and the Administration where the actual political action takes place"
Ahaha no, Congress do nothing, not just here, but in every country, Congress is just an old empity shell.
Active parties with a lively community add spark, fun, friendship, assitance, mutual aid to the game. Congress is fairly useless, mostly just rubber-stamp kind of stuff.
Rubber stamping only because others lack the courage to start discussing stuff ...
Your party bought itself into the top five to do what, rubber stamp?
ffs, do you ever stop whining?
More like why Congress sucks, instead of answering a question, you launch another personal attack deflecting a valid point.
So to ask the establishment that has run this e-country into the e-ground, is to whine? Utter convenient BS for a copy and paste hack!
Also if its not clear - almost all of our battles are "training wars" organized between our allies. Typically the defender (the right side on the wars page, the one with battle icon) wins the war. The purpose of these wars is to farm gold, which is why people hit both sides (to double the gold)
