Let's be sensible and pragmatic here......

I'd like to quote a recent posting from Certacito which appeared in the Congress thread. I hope Certacito doesn't mind me quoting his words but they express very precisely how I feel we should view our situation in eUK.

QUOTE

The situation is that, under the inspired leadership of our illustrious leader Huey, the eUK has become a stable and prosperous Nation which has managed to stay our of petty squabbles and has engineered a constant source of military action and revenue flows. As such, it has become a really good place for incomers to join - particularly those who are sensible and have a good grasp of the English language.

It is really quite important, particularly in these times of dwindling populations, that we embrace every decent incomer that we can in order to maximise our collective strength and revenue generation capabilities. Consequently, it is important that someone within the Government takes on the task of helping to administer their admission (or rejection if warranted) into eUK society.

It helps to remain apolitical in these matters.

END of QUOTE

It follows, therefore, that the procedures which are now being adopted for the acceptance of new citizen status are very much to be welcomed.

However, let's not make the process too long winded or "wordy". I doubt many of us wish to spend our days reading and writing long tracts to support or oppose each application.

Fix a procedure. Stick by it. And let eUK continue to prosper under our elected leadership. And if something "ain't broke", let's not waste too many words trying to "fix" it.

Be pragmatic. Things are going well. Long may that continue.
