Let's be sensible and pragmatic here......
JRCS
I'd like to quote a recent posting from Certacito which appeared in the Congress thread. I hope Certacito doesn't mind me quoting his words but they express very precisely how I feel we should view our situation in eUK.
QUOTE
The situation is that, under the inspired leadership of our illustrious leader Huey, the eUK has become a stable and prosperous Nation which has managed to stay our of petty squabbles and has engineered a constant source of military action and revenue flows. As such, it has become a really good place for incomers to join - particularly those who are sensible and have a good grasp of the English language.
It is really quite important, particularly in these times of dwindling populations, that we embrace every decent incomer that we can in order to maximise our collective strength and revenue generation capabilities. Consequently, it is important that someone within the Government takes on the task of helping to administer their admission (or rejection if warranted) into eUK society.
It helps to remain apolitical in these matters.
END of QUOTE
It follows, therefore, that the procedures which are now being adopted for the acceptance of new citizen status are very much to be welcomed.
However, let's not make the process too long winded or "wordy". I doubt many of us wish to spend our days reading and writing long tracts to support or oppose each application.
Fix a procedure. Stick by it. And let eUK continue to prosper under our elected leadership. And if something "ain't broke", let's not waste too many words trying to "fix" it.
Be pragmatic. Things are going well. Long may that continue.

sounds good
on closer reading I am not sure it does sound good, is CC/JRCCS suggesting we ask the government to create some sort of role to oversee cit? The text suggests so, and I wouldn't support that
Better still let's assume that those elected are sensible (I know that's an unlikely occurrence) and let them decide individually who to give citizenship to without any unnecessary meta tagged on.
Love a good congress leak
Love out of context quotes
So basically a person becomes responsible for letting people in?
In the past it was important for people to be vetted before they were let in as there was a risk of a PTO. Nowadays with the general population of the game, the likelihood of 50-60 foreigners suddenly wanting to PTO the eUK is basically zero. Right now you might as well let in anyone who actually wants to come here.
I dunno because the lower active population its actually easier to PTO countries as you need less people.
We have enough actives to fight off any PTO and assuming several dozen people from the same country don't suspiciously suddenly apply for citizenship then we'll be fine. No one cares about the eUK enough to actually bother PTOing.
For the relative newbie ie someone under exp lvl 30 , we should be able to provide some sort of mentoring also.
If they gonna drop out it will be before this level.
I have no issues at all with sharing my posts and appreciate your comments.
Currently eUK is a stable and rewarding country in which to be a citizen - and so it is likely that we will see a stream of incomers arriving from other States where conditions are not so favourable.
I am willing to take on the role of picking up citizenship applications and presenting them to Congress; it is important that approval in granted to acceptable applicants BEFORE the time out period expires. In the past we have lost potential incomers because their applications were not processed in time!
Thanks for your comments. I was happy to quote them since they were so succinct.
I certainly also agree with you about the need for timely processing of citizen requests. Unfortunately, I don't have the RL time to spare to help, but am happy to support your suggestion.
