Join the new world

Hi everyone.

Time for a new interview, this time it's with our MoD, Scarfar. This will be kind of a "double interview", because he sent me 3 questions and I'll answer them at the end of this article.

Here is what he has to say...


1. Tell us a few words about your real life self.

- I am 19 from UK, Hampshire. I have a cat, his name is Jack. I am not really a outgoing person, I would rather be sat at home playing games or watching netflix than out partying (although I still love to drink 😛).


2. About eRepublik Scarfar.

- In eRepublik, I mainly just try to play the game and play as best I can and more importantly, have fun! I like to meet new players and join in the community, although I try to stay away from the "bad" side of the community if you will. I have made some good friends on here and I hope to make many more.

3. How do you see your future in eRepublik, any CP ambitions? (You recently moved to Mexico, why is that?)

- Honestly, I do not know where I see my future in eRepublik. I like to take it one step at a time, which honestly, I think it is the best way to play it. There are always different things that happen that can change your plans, you just have to take your current situation and act upon it.

I do not really have any ambitions other than just trying to increase my level, rank and strength as fast and as far as I can. I would also eventually like to get every medal, including CP medal, although at the moment I have no plans to get towards this.

So recently I moved to Mexico. As some might know, when the NAP was signed between Appleby and Argentina, I was strongly against it. The deal cost us a lot for very little and there was no discussion before hand with the rest of the cabinet when Appleby signed it (which in my opinion is very important, especially when making a decision like this). But originally I accepted the deal and stuck to it.

However, as I said in question 2, I like to play the game and have fun. So I thought of some ways to still have some fun against Argentina, despite the deal. Eventually however, this fun was ruined when Argentina threatened to NE UK, with the reason being that it was costing them too much damage, so they would stop fighting and if we won, they would vote yes. I was not going to just stop fighting against them because of this threat, however, I could not continue from UK as I did not want to risk getting it wiped. So instead I moved to Mexico as they are still happy to fight against Argentina.

However, when UK finally decides to actually fight for itself and play the game, I will return to help, if you will still have my of course 🙂

(BTW although Appleby f***ed up, he is a good guy and player and has been good CP for everything else, it's just a shame about the deal 😛)

4. eUK's future? (How do you rate the current government's work so far and your suggestions to future governments?)

- I think this is difficult to answer. I am sure eventually that the UK will return to a full country, but when and how i am unsure of. In the meantime the UK is doing an okay job of keeping itself going. Everyone just needs to remember to have fun and be apart of the community.

5. eRepublik's future? (What would you change?)

- I think cloposaur, he is an eRepublik streamer, I recommend checking him out next time he streams, he is surprisingly very entertaining to watch (shameless plug), that it is hard to tell what the future of eRepublik will be. For the past 2 years players have been saying that the game will die soon and so on, and yet here we are years later. Now don't get me wrong, the player base is slowly declining, and maybe one day the game will die. But I hope that eventually the admins will do something so we can see new and old players returning.

What I would change is more tools for players to help mold the game to how they want it (if that makes any sense). Throughout eRepublik, players come up with their own ideas and rules to sort of change the game to how they want it. For example, in UK you have the constitution. This is not part of the game rules, it is something that the UK has come up with for how to run the country. It would be good to have the tools to then enforce those ideas and basically create custom rules. I see eRepublik as like a plank of wood, and the players are tools (especially those in the UK 😛) molding (or at least would like to be able to mold) the game into how they want it.

!!!!! I think that sorta made sense, my thought on that was kinda hard to put into words 😛

6. Who is your favourite person in eRepublik and why?

- Hm, this is a difficult one as I have made a few good friends in eRepublik, but I think Delirium90 has be at the top of the list. Why? He pays me to be his friend.

7. Any person you dislike and why?

- Idk, I'm not too keen on Hitler.

8. A few words about your military history.

- I will stick to UK military history if its okay otherwise i might be here i while 😛

I have not really been too involved, with military units in the UK. I think the first MU i joined was the Free British Irregulars where I stayed for a couple of weeks, then I moved onto Fyre CG where I met certacito who is a great guy. Then I left to take over the dictator MU when MEK took over UK and then since I haven't really been in any other unit, mostly being in my own.

With general military stuff, well I kicked Frances butt and was in my second term as MoD before I moved to Mexico.

9. A few words about your political history.

- I did not and do not really get involved in party politics. It is not an area of the game that interests me and I find that party politics can also bring out the worst in people, so I try to avoid it. Although saying that, UKRP had a great community there and was quite a fun party to be in. I originally joined because I saw it was hosting some some tournament or something at the time I joined UK, and as I needed a party, I just picked that one.

For the end, my answers to Scarfar's questions...

1. Why do you do interviews?

- Well, I did my first three interviews to finish the senior journalist mission and I liked it, so I decided to continue. I like to meet new people and hear what they have to say, hopefully the people who read my articles feel the same. All in all this is my way of interacting with the community. And I don't plan to stop soon, there are still many people to be interviewed. Also, it's an easy way to write articles - others do most of the writing for you 😃

- Green

3. What is love?

- Love is a double-edged sword...
