The Return of The Equalist

Day 2,070, 15:07 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by The Equalist

Hello eWorld!

It has been many months since I was last active. And by active I mean staying around for more than a week. I have randomly appeared for a few days here and there since February, but now I am here to stay.

My extended leave of absence started after becoming heavily involved at the student government at my university and activist groups. I ran for student senate, with the campaign taking up a couple of months of my life. While my run was ultimately unsuccessful, it was a great learning experience and I have no regrets about that. More recently, I have been interning over at the city council, where I have learnt the true meaning of politics. Very fascinating stuff; makes you wonder why I even came back to eRepublik. There is no politics here, just a bunch of people whining. Oh wait…that kind of is what real life politics is like. Anyway, I have found enough free time to return here, since the city council just started summer vacation.

But enough of my personal life story that no one cares about, let’s get back to this virtual thingy called eRepublik. As a three time Congressperson, I decided to reboot my political career here by running for Congress in this election. Just like real life, Congress doesn’t seem to do much, so it looks like an ideal place to start and get back in the swing of things. Hopefully I’ll come up with an idea for a series of articles to write about soon. Until then, it’s good to be back.
