The Reason Luzon Failed

Unknown to our government at the time, due to a lack of communication, the RW in Luzon failed due to Indonesia's interest in temporarily holding onto Luzon. This was not discussed beforehand with the Indonesian government to ensure that the RW would not be resisted.

Unless I am mistaken from my discourse with the current Indonesian President, though not explicitly stated, either Mindanao or (especially) Visayas would not have been a problem to RW. I would prefer next time that our government confirm whatever region they want to RW in advance with the Indonesians.

I must admit, our current rate of getting regions returned is a bit discouraging. However, even if it takes a month to finally get our regions back slowly but surely, I believe that we will. I know we all do.
