The Holy Order - Weekly Military Unit Review
Vrykolaus Drauvik
The Holy Order is an apolitical Military Unit based in Canada. During the two months of it's existence, this newly formed legion under the guidance of Venerable - Prophet of Mitos, Simon Boucher-Ruest - Sword of Disarys and Leo Balzac - Light of Palaero has become one of the most powerful and dedicated Military powers in Canada.
Under the financial genius of Venerable and Leo Balzac, The Holy Order is a completely self sufficient Military Unit. Twice a week, a combined eighty four Q7 tanks roll off our production lines and into the hands of each member.
My prophet, a humble man by nature and a patriot of the North has contributed time and again to the Sovereignty of Canada, and not once has asked for anything in return. For those of you that remember 'The Miracle of Manitoba' it was a proud time for Canadians. American troops invaded our country only to be sent packing by the sheer firepower our government had mustered.
"I enjoyed watching our American brethren flop around like a newly born, weak-kneed faun when they experienced what Canada was willing to do to protect their homes and children."
My most generous Prophet played a decisive role in that battle, contributing approximately five million Canadian dollars to make sure our country was well protected. Generosity like that is rarely found these days. That is why I follow.
Every week, I will be promoting The Holy Order by recognizing the men and woman who fight daily under it's banner. Mitos, Disarys and Palaero appreciate your service, as do I and your fellow Prophet and commanders.

You guys are good to deal more than your fair share of damage and pay more than your fair share of VAT on Q7s. Thanks for the contributions!
The door is always open for someone like yourself Plugson if you are ever in need of a new home.
All my funds are now invested in CoI so I'm fairly committed to staying there now. But thanks for the invite.
Christian: What do kills have to do with influence? There is no need to be petty.
I wish there was a way we could track the influence being dealt to all 4 Divisions in the battles. Basic influence stats don't capture the contributions of lower divisions when they do earn points in battle.
Kill count is misleading. Influence totals are misleading. It would be interesting to design a way to show how lower level players help us gain points. This may encourage MUs to seek out new players.
CoI and CAF (listed above) may not rack up the same influence but they do offer a place for new players to develop and be supplied.
I think it's great to have an elite MU for D4 points (as Holy Order does), yet we shouldn't forget that other MUs who foster D1 and D2 influence and battle points are also contributing in another way. In fact, I think tikiki's 'mentor MU' will be an interesting way to see how D1 and D2 influence can be tracked (maybe?)
Any math majors out there? I would be interested in seeing a formula created for this purpose.
Well, the reason that Holy Order is only allowing those with strength, is because we can only allow so many players at any given time, in order for us to generate enough profit to be able to expand. This is why every few weeks we open up our numbers to 5 more.
This way, the Q7's can cause the greatest difference in damage, because at lower levels, higher Q weapons mean far less.
To answer Plugson and Vrykolaus. You can ask all MU members to install Pulse to track the influence in every battle by every member in egov4you. I know eSpain MoD uses Pulse to pay their MUs per damage dealt in specific campaigns.
ooh, interesting tip, Mihai, thanks
Venerable, constrained growth seems like a good idea. Might also be worth considering offering more affordable guns (Q5s are very cheap now) to D1 and D2 members that complete the daily order. It keeps them active/feeling appreciated, gives them a damage boost, and will help eCan get a few extra points in the battles(seems to work with us). But I do agree that D4 and D3 is where we need to lay down most of our damage so Q7s are best saved for D3/D4.
Wow Im first!
~hyuu~
that's assuming, Plug, that we want to shepherd a bunch of D1's and D2's. I think we'll probably just leave that up to you guys, CAF and the others.
qwertylolol
bummer, i couldve joined, but my MU is so much more awesome
and i like my special forces commune weapons
CC said this once
"This way, the Q7's can cause the greatest difference in damage, because at lower levels, higher Q weapons mean far less."
That's not really true. When I was reaching the end of Div 3 I was a juggernaut, and could turn battles based almost purely on my food fights. In fact, in my last 3 weeks or so I was able to get 8 or 9 BHs without needing to deal any extra damage.
If you're able to find people that are hitting well out of their weight class in Div 1 and Div 2, they might be worth recruiting because they'll always be well ahead of the curve, and stealing a division 3 battle (which is a 6 point swing) can make all the difference in the world.
My argument isn't that lower divisions don't matter, Muglack. All of your points are true. What I'm saying is that by giving a D4 soldier with very high strength a Q7, it will cause a much more significant difference in damage than by giving a D2 tank a Q7. For example, Utat would deal 25617 with a Q7, and only 18786 with a Q6.
Insuring eCanada's strongest are supplied is of paramount importance.
Yah, but you're completely missing my point.
A person in D2 will definitely get a smaller boost in damage going from Q6 to Q7 than a guy like Utat, that's not up for debate. But what you're missing is that a jump from 1878 to 2561 in a battle that has 1/20th the total damage of the higher divisions is a more significant jump.
Although the actual numbers may be much much smaller, the ratio of actual damage based on total damage in that division will be much higher.
