The End of the eJapanese Civil War.
shirosakura
Seven hundred days.
On Wednesday, April 22, 2015, day 2,710 of the New World the Tsunami coalition (the predecessors to what today we call the opposition) started the April revolution and forever changed the course of eJapanese history. By the time the fighting had cleared, a dictatorship had been established in favor of the coalition, and what was to follow would be the longest civil conflict in eRepublik history, almost completely destroying the foundation of our nation and the vitues it stood upon.
Now, with the the fatal change to the state of dictatorship, our country has found itself with a makeshift armistice. The coalition's acceptance to the formation of a democratic state has all but guaranteed that our country will peacefully transition to democracy, and with that, I do believe that this will be the final chapter in the eJapanese Civil War, and the beginning to a brave new world we will have to inherit and build together.
Consider this: I have never known an eJapan without war. From my very first day of rejoining this game, my experience has been marked by nothing more than partisan strife and civil unrest. My first ever media article was not an introduction, but a commentary on the state and health of our nation and our government. There are potentially thousands of other eJapanese citizens and expatriates who share the same experience, joining eJapan under the grand dream of making a life for themselves but becoming disillusioned by our nation's sordid state of affairs. I have watched dear friends come and go, join and quit, and this nation lose so much of its talent and character that at one point made it one of the most popular in the world. With the reintroduction of democracy, we have been presented with golden opportunity now to rewrite the narrative of our great nation, to build and create an eJapan where everyone can be together. We must do all we can to strive for that very goal, to make this a prosperous nation worthy of standing among the other countries in the eWorld.
Ever since my first day, I have wanted nothing more to see our nation come together. Whatever challenges we may face, whatever disagreements we may come to, I believe that we can use our words and our diplomacy to navigate the trials that will test our new nation, instead of resorting to force to exert our will upon others. I believe that every citizen, regardless of their origin, background, or political affiliation, deserves a fair and equal opportunity to access all levels of government. I believe in an eJapan where we have the opportunity to commune and celebrate and fight with our neighbors. And I know that we are all capable of making this nation a better place.
From me to all the current and former citizens of eJapan, this is my farewell to arms and my call to action. From this point forward, we need to do all that we can to make this nation a better place. There will be hard times. There will be moments when things are tense and we feel ourselves at a political impasse. But we can't give up on this peace all of us have sacrificed so much to obtain. Please help me make that dream a reality.

Thousands?
Quilions dude, quilions!
Even aliens from some distant galaxy wanted to become eJapanese who do something dirty with half naked schoolgirl anime s**t!
HOW YES NO!
The end of eSengoku era is over....or is it? Well, if we wanna go into details, you could say that the "civil war" (or eSengoku era how I like to call it xD) started as early as in the 2013 with the increased flow of immigration coming to eJapan which started the accusations from the natives of the incoming PTO by the imigrantes and the rest is history xD
I would also like to think that this war is really over and that we can finally move on with less drama in our media but only time will tell.
Interesting how "majority" as they call themselves is only active in the media when the "minority" writes something. At least I hope we have more people active for the events.
Maybe because they (the majority or their political/military actions) are mostly the main topic of articles written by the minority xD
I was always for less drama (serious political business) and more anime/manga related stuff in our media but the game itself didn't help us out much with that. Since many people left because of the game itself, and the the ones that stayed continued to argue between themself.
Da se ne lažemo, izgleda da vam falim 🙁
Da objavljujem ja kod vas jopet?
The Edo period (江戸時代 Edo jidai?) or Tokugawa period (徳川時代 Tokugawa jidai?) is the period between 1603 and 1868 in the history of Japan, when Japanese society was under the rule of the Tokugawa shogunate and the country's 300 regional daimyō. The period was characterized by economic growth, strict social order, isolationist foreign policies, a stable population and popular enjoyment of arts and culture.
*how similar to 'dictatorship era' in eJP: rise of empire, present on 3 continents, never had been military stronger than now.
If you think Japan was impressive then, just wait until you see what happens when they restore the Emperor 😉
Like your spirit, dude.
I have real hope that things can start changing now. I'm not expecting everyone to hold hands and sing together. But at least we have democracy. At least we can give this to our people.
and it dies
Our country is too much inward focused, we bicker over useless internal politics, fact is that we need to engage the rest of the eWorld in order to escape our never ending internal political fight.
