Join the new world

How got this started? More than a week ago Croatia initiated a successful resistance war in Burgenland which they were previously attempting for months. The Hungarian bridge was destroyed, the breach into central Europe finally open. Now there was question: Who’ll get Austria sooner? Croatia’s aim was to occupy its territories, to get access to its resources and especially to cut off Hungary definitely from its colonies.

We managed to get Burgenland first. We simply had a better chance to defend it with all our MMPs. Initially it worked. Until we’ve got attacked at three battlefields at once. Croatia pushing from the south, Turkish communists starting RWs at Czech territories and the attack of Germany from the west. We managed the impossible. Holding off all three invaders, to win all three battles. Then the damage begun to split in RWs at Croat territory (also admins manupulating could be responsible). Battles in Austrian regions were lost very close and they were really epic. Turkish PTOers “liberated” Moravia and Northern Bohemia, Croatia stepped into our core regions, taking Bratislava and Western Slovakia.

Sometimes at this time the Croat peace proposal came. We agreed upon a bilateral meeting. Until then we attempted to lose Central Slovakia to attacking Czech Republic to prevent Croatia’s advance, to lose borders with them and so to end the war. My proposal to them to help us achieve this remained without response. Directly after this battle Central Slovakia was attacked by full force, also the RW in Western Slovakia was crushed. To be honest, those were not signs of someone proposing peace or showing goodwill, so we remained strongly suspicious.

Finally the meeting came. At this time Central Slovakia was already occupied. The representatives of Croatia promised us returning of all lost regions and declared that fighting Czechoslovakia was not their priority. However, they demanded from us to withdraw from Austria and not to interfere in the south anymore.

Now the minutes of decision came. At this moment I have to admit why are playing this game. We are playing it for not being isolated in our own territory, not for fighting a bit here and there and staying safe in our own cage while the world around us is going to hell. We still are a part of something, we still are a part of an alliance. We still have allies, friends, we still have our responsibilities. ONE is experiencing problems and it is for us not the time to run. Even when we shall bring our sacrifice. Everyone does, by the way.

We were unable to fulfill Croatia’s demands. After that Croatia’s delegation aborted the negotiations and seconds after Eastern Slovakia was attacked – our last core region. We’ll stand, we’ll fight and we’ll fall, if necessary. Our great hope remains Poland, our strong older brother always keeping an eye on its small sibling. Poland doesn’t hesitated a minute and issued NE to Croatia right after Central Slovakia was conquered.

Now we’ll face an epic war. And we are proud being a part of it.
