The Beginning of the End for eCanada?

As many of you have probably read, there have been a lot of developments lately involving Rylde's re-election, and relations with the United States. With the election hot in pursuit and sides bashing at each other being un-bro like, its hard to seperate fact from fiction. These are the facts:
1. There have been talks between Tyrael Snow and Consuls from the eUS.
2. Rylde has been accused of "backstabbing" the eUS by supposedly leaking information on a new alliance.
3. There have been talks between Consuls of Poland, Spain, Brazil, and the United States about a new alliance called New Alliance Project (N.A.P henceforth)
Reading articles written by Israel Stevens (eUS president) it seems clear that what he is saying is complete propaganda and his accusations seemingly false. I've never been a total fan of Rylde, however I believe in his platform. And his platform promises war. Well unfortunately it seems unlikely we'll be bringing war to another nation, and instead war will be brought upon us.
"The leadership of Rylde has always been questionable, but now he has put the sovereignty of his entire nation on the line...I am saddened that Canada has chosen to betray us like this, but we will respond in force." ( Excerpt from Israel Stevens "Canada Betrays America" a message to his people)
It is hard to believe that Canada has a seemingly 50/50 chance of deteriorating relations with our "friendly" neighbour the United States. If Rylde is re-elected the eUS will surely have a Casus Belli on us (a reason to declare war) and if Tyrael Snow is elected we have the possibility of being part of an extremely controversial alliance, backstabbing everyone we ever considered a friend. These elections will surely be the most important for our sovereignty, because we can either be a part of the US or a puppet of our enemies.

In this scenario war is bad for us. If we are invaded by member of this new alliance, we lose many regions.
If we lose control of Quebec our companies will only produce 12 weapons per time worked. If things go even worse for us and we were to lose Ontario and Yukon on top of Quebec we will be making 10 weapons per time worked. It's will be very hard to put a resistance to these attacks with few weapons availible to fight with.
And believe me, if this new Super Alliance is formed, eCanada will attacked first in order to secure the american northern border.
I agree completely, unless we can create an agreement or convince americans that we are not their enemy, the fight between Rylde and Stevens will be brought to us.
The good news is...
We'll get war both ways, no matter how the CP election cuts the lines of our alliances.
This is a war game, right? Though allies are useful in wars...so we can be noble and stick with the lot that will get us invaded. Or, we can throw in with the turncoats and save ourselves some trouble.
For an administration that wants quick and easy war, I can see why going up against the USA would bring us just that.
honestly this happens all the time in this game. when i first started there was fury over the uk changing sides after the breakup of atlantis. hell after the big wipe by hungary (the result of uk changing sides) we were enemies of france. yet now we call them friends.
when we were wiped by hungary i fled to our ally spain to defend their iron region along side sweedish and polish tanks against the likes of russia our current ally.
so really is the worry and panic needed? no.
hell once upon a time ecan actually fought back an eusa invasion (i do understand that was under vastly different game conditions)

Very good points all of you have made, but if we get conquered, wheres the fun in that other than (if you have enough gold or actually put money into the game) to start a resistance war and hopefully gain a medal or two. but look at france right now trying to get aquitaine back. we have less citizens than them. we'd be something similiar to what croatia has done to austria and switzerland. gone off the map entirely.
I will negotatiate with this new alliance if and when they come to me. But i don't negotaiate from a position of weakness.
Its a full membership or we go to the trenches and use the split in USA over this to have them help us in all RW;'s that will take place.
We'll drag the USA so deep into the mud essentially one of there standing members will be a useless ally.
Sometimes to got to go to fisticuffs to be seen as equals and earn respect.
Of course there is the other possibility. You turn down membership and the USA doesn't do anything besides continuing with its war in Mexico and holding the european colonies that give it 100/100 bonus.
Rylde you're idea is exactly why I voted for you. I will go to the trenches and fight for our nation.Speaking true and free like every great Prime Minister.
@Rylde: You want to fight for full membership, which will get us crushed, I've already got our full membership guaranteed through negotiation and simply not acting like a jerk. You will earn no respect as an equal because the international community sees you as a selfish child because of your attitude, which remains unchanged.
Is that not the point of the MDP? The party he runs for?

We are viewed as a third rate nation because of people like you. If you get your way, we will be labeled traitors as well. I agree with Rylde His principles. My vote reflects that.

You talked to a secretary of state who's own president knows nothing about your so called full membership. plain and simple your claim is false and has no real backing from the founders of the alliance.
A broken jaw won't kill us. The US is our bro, but we will not stand as the "little" bro, either they give us the respect we deserve, or we stand united and they can find it on the battlefield when the smoke clears.
I remember Israel talking about giving Canada (and I quote): "full membership"

So, Rylde, you're going to try to fight for full membership? Abandoning all of our allies? Joining the enemy? I mean, I understand a war with the future N.A.P will be difficult, but is joining the states worth the damage done to our name?
I've pm'd all our allies to get there opinions and what they want to see happen. Many will be going there own way. just checkin out whats on everyone's international mind

@Tyrael Snow - So you, not a member of the executive, not a CP, not holding any position in eCanada, negotiated FOR eCanada.....
Sounds to me like a CP hopeful went behind everyone's back to try and get some personal glory.......
We should all be glad you lost the election...... at least Rylde is honest and up front.....
