Reopening of the eUniversity of the Philippines!

Day 4,822, 14:21 Published in Philippines Philippines by Boy Pick Up

Warm greetings!

I am excited to announce the reopening of the eUniversity of the Philippines today, Day 4822 (1 February 2021)! As the steady rise of newer players in our country continues, I believe that it is only right to revive the institution built years ago to foster their growth. The game has stagnated and declined throughout the years, but there is always hope for the situation to be better when we allow our young citizens to learn the ropes.

The reopening of the eUniversity coincides with the fiftieth anniversary of the Diliman Commune, a nine-day barricade inspired by the Paris Commune in the real-life University of the Philippines Diliman against the increasing oil prices in the country and continued repression under the tyrannical Marcos dictatorship. What is the eUniversity of the Philippines?

First established on Day 595 (7 July 2009) by President HazzN, the eUniversity of the Philippines was a program under the Department of Education to help new citizens during their first steps in the game. After years of inactivity, the eUniversity was reopened on Day 1801 (25 October 2012) by Minister of Education Vincenzo Roque as part of the International eUniversity Project.

Throughout its existence, the eUniversity has produced countless presidents, congress members, cabinet ministers, military leaders, journalists, and public servants.

(Disclaimer: We are not associated with the real-life University of the Philippines.)
