What up my comrades?
Guess who’s back from their vacation, tracing their way through the constellations. Yeah it's PCP, coming in hot to give you the scoop of the century. We, as a collective of like-minded individuals, have decided to back our good friend Wingfield in his attempt to become CP.
Now I know what some of you lesser mammals are thinking, “Zap is our official PP and not supporting his candidacy is blah blah blah”, listen up short stops I don't need to tell the adults in the room that PCP has a bylaw in place that restricts the enforcement power of any illegitimate leader. Although Zap is a good boy, the collective has agreed that we want a man who stares us in the eyes instead of ogling at our breasts. Unfortunately, due to our situation, with some lazy bum squatting on Bamber’s throne, we cannot show our support in anyway but our votes and our praise so just take my word that we will be voting for our boy Wingfield.
Listen, I know you and you know me so I know you are begging me to continue this article so that you can distract yourself from the evils of the real world, unfortunately this article is a open and shut case with little need for beating around the bush.
Oh btw fyi, Rex is catching up with his old pal Yurigavin in the cabinet, this has no bearing on the choice made by the individuals. We just prefer WRP and Wingfield to whatever Roachford is. Sorry Roachford, ya boy knows you won't take that personally. PS Bamber owes me a sandwich.

Typically communist, the democratic vote is ignored and the politburo appoints whoever they please.
These political non-entities can make up as much meta as they like, it makes zero difference to game mechanics.

The PCP has never had a leader they are purely a spokesperson for the wishes of the PCP membership. Not sure how you don't know this simple fact as it's always been the case and you've been playing the game long enough.

We still organised congress like every month and we still backed a CP candidate like everyone month. Not a single member has expressed support for zaphod and I put him on the ballot for CP, where has them 7 votes gone that backed him in the PP election if he has all this support within the PCP..oh wait there isn't any.
Did anybody check if membership count actually went up when zaphod got elected? It's normally brought up by now in arguments about domestic PTOs, I feel we're slacking.
You can even check to see who went in and out of parties nowadays... marvels of the captialistic modern age!

In normal cases I wouldn't care: I don't think it's a realistic ideology but whatever. These guys seem to be fringe communists who deny atrocities committed by Soviet Union (and I'm sure a bunch of other communist regimes), though, at which point I don't respect them as people, same as I wouldn't respect a person who whitewashes nazi Germany or fascist Italy or a number of other despotic regimes.
I don't know about Bamber, I am a working class bad boy with a history degree which is pretty rare in university (weird right, mainly liberals at mine). I do treat the USSR differently to nazi germany, I still hold the USSR to its mistakes but you will see me defending the history scholar greats like E.P Thompson who argue the same points. That means that I am not a fringe communist unfortunately, maybe after some more reading I will be though.
I see them as no different to Nazis, they are both dangerous collectivist ideologies. What I can't get my head round is the free pass the hammer and sickle gets in society compared to the swastika. In my opinion anybody waving either flag deserve a free helicopter ride.

But you don't hold the USSR to its mistakes. Every time you mentioned a single USSR mistake you watered it down and followed it up with several counter-examples of "Britain dun it worse!" to further obfuscate USSR shit. Here's a couple of examples:

While it's argued whether Holodomor targeted Ukrainians specifically, it's accepted that it was a man-made famine which killed millions. Talk about "a bit different than there being no grain at all", huh. I was too lazy to dig out what the actual max sentencing to gulags was, but I'm guessing at worst it was indefinite and the 15 years are cherry picked by you from a time period when the Soviets calmed down a bit. You also didn't mention the prisoners starving and dying from diseases due to horrible conditions in those "work camps".
I'm not familiar with UK's history so I am not sure how accurate your statements in the screenies are, but I don't doubt they've committed genocides as well. The people who did that are assholes, too, and people who whitewash colonialism atrocities are not worthy of respect, like those defending despotic governments. Mentioning those crimes was pretty irrelevant when discussing Soviet Union though, and like I said earlier, the only purpose of doing that was to further gloss over USSRs own atrocities.
So yeah, you don't hold USSR to its mistakes and added to the fact that you see being a biased socialist/fringe commie as a good thing (both are your own words), I think you did enough reading to become one.

I was really explaining my own opinions in a more macro effect, not trying to 'defend' my image that you have of me. Now we can go back and forth on the issues surrounding the USSR because, unlike nazi germany, the evidence of Soviet aggression is kept close to the archives in Russia itself. You can show as much evidence of me saying stuff, unlike many of my congressional colleagues, I accept what I say and do not hide from my own words. Just because I don't accept the failures that were mentioned by you or in the congress pm doesn't mean that I believe it is infallible, I don't agree with the Hungarian revolt (much like E.P Thompson) and I don't agree with the cultural imperialism that the soviets undertook but I'm assuming you are just looking for a 'got ya' moment within my words instead of understanding my thinking so I will just let you get to that, good luck.
Just to add, I only accept evidence of socialist antagonism if it is in a legitimate study by a legitimate source. So I can't change my opinion of gulags or socialist 'genocides' until that is shown, I personally believe that makes me better than concentration camp deniers.
There's not much to understand in your thinking tbh: you use biased sources to support your ideology and discard conflicting ones because they're not "legitimate". Fairly common behaviour among anti-vaxers, conspiracy nuts, religious zealots and other lunatics. Hence why I'm not looking for a "got ya" moment: if your mental gymnastics outmaneuvered what serious historians have to say, you're too far gone.
I made the posts above because I felt you were misrepresenting your views when you stated you hold up USSR to its mistakes or that your beliefs weren't in the fringe zone. It wasn't meant to argue with you, it was meant to give other people a better look into your beliefs and to show them that there's a reason why you guys are getting shit: It's not just because you're commies (though there's that, too), it's because you deny serious atrocities to whitewash your ideology.

As Roachford has already stated. You only see what you wanna see while denying reality. Socialism will never work while man has to use his own hands. We are not born equal. Some are able to produce more and as such should be suitably rewarded.
