Parliamentary questions

Day 2,760, 00:13 Published in Netherlands Germany by BaronVanZon

From now on, I am starting a new weekly series, called 'Parliamentary questions', in which we, you guessed it, ask the president or any other member of the Cabinet, some questions. The conversation can be about politics or policies, about items in the media or personal matters.

As always, the rules are simple: I ask whatever I want to ask, but print whatever is answered by the interviewee.

This week, we talk about the biggest challenge and the biggest fear of our president.

My biggest challenge as President this term is to find a solution to our crumbled Foreign Policy - evident ever since the German attack. And it certainly is a great challenge in which there are difficult decisions to be made regarding our allegiances, ensuring that we do neither shun our current relations, nor see opportunities to gain new ones be left in the dark.

My biggest fear is related to the biggest challenge of our nation currently. Our Foreign Policy gives me a lot of headaches and its very hard to appease all different opinions about it in our country. I try to maintain our current relations while seeking new ones. My biggest fear is that this isn't possible and at times its indeed very hard. Examples include the Argentinian AS on Belgium and the UK and the whole German affair.

Do you have some questions that you would like to see the president or a member of the Cabinet answer?
Feel free to send all of your questions to me. If they are any good, they will be asked.

Signed,
