N I K A N answers some questions inside

I K A N gehört. Er selbst hat weise erkannt: "One of main problem of e-Austria is the lack of communication."
Danke!
To the new president
(I wrote this before the "Early Updates" [http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-gov-early-updates-1566792/1/20] have been published. Some points raised are now answered, some are not. Therefore I won't change this text.)
Since the election day, the inhabitants of Austria haven't heard anything from their new president N I K A N. He himself diagnose😛
"One of main problem of e-Austria is the lack of communication." That is why I expected him to be more communicative than he has been. There isn't a lack of relevant topics after all.
The most important issue is surely the state of peace-discussions with Slovakia. In my last article, several Slovakian representatives have commented about a proposal in this regard. I - and most probably many more - would like to know more details concerning this proposal and what the government is planning to do.
Furthermore I want to note, that the Austrian grain market has collapsed. The state company "Notfall Korn" offers grain for 0,20 ATS, another one for 0,23 ATS and all the others demand silly prices. The last government established "Notfall Korn" for an occasion just like this. The last time, they offered grain for 0,14 ATS (on the level of German prices at the time) and the competitors followed by lowering their prices to as low as 0,12 ATS. A similiar policy would be good this time as well to support the emerging food industry (there are some new companies, which are suffering right now).
Both points could be adressed at once, because of the possiblity to import grain from Slowakian Lower Austria in peace.
Additionally, I would like to know, what N I K A N wants to change in our constitution (he announced changes, but didn't tell us what they will be), how the states finances are doing, how the revaluation of the ATS shall happen and finally who really is in his Cabinet after all. I suppose, there are others who would like to know these things as well.
Thank you!
Comments
I must add, that inviting grain companies to sell their products here should be done before using "Notfall Korn" to lower grain prices, thereby sustaining reasonable prices.
Im going to start a grain Companie, but its still hard to get to gold. Hope i get some gold in next time. Anyone have a idea to get on gold, but not to buy with real money?
Where? If you want to found one anywhere else than in Lower Austria (or another high grain region), it will not be profitable (efficiency halfed in medium grain regions) enough to successfully compete on the market with companies located in high grain regions. It's a noble deed, but one that should be reserved for the state, who can better afford losing money in an effort to regulate prices in difficlt times, such as these.
Regarding gol😛 You can speculate on the monetary market, even with small sums, to make profit. It is difficult and laborious though. The best way is probably through training. For every 100 Strength you gain a treasure map and you should get at least 6,5 Strength per day, so it doesn't take very long.
Schwrzwolf you should be the next finance minister and minister of welfare.
Ah xenor you are level 14 and need money so speculating on the mm is the best idea."
Yes maybe he is successful but if not we get rid of a eAustrian maybe helping us for the next years. So bad deal.
The same idea we ruined our world economy. Normal profit is not enough so start gambling your money on things you don´t really understand.
"You can speculate on the monetary market, even with small sums, to make profit. It is difficult and laborious though. The best way is probably through training."
Please focus on "difficult and laborious" & "The best way".
I was merely pointing out possibilities.

I really do not know what is this?
,,I - and most probably many more - would like to know more details concerning this proposal and what the government is planning to do.''
=> We are at the stage of negotiations, there are some negative and ridiculous contracts and we do not want to disclose to the public, let alone sign it. The other party has requested more time to propose a new contract. About everything you will be notified, and we do everything in our power to get this finished as soon as possible.
,,The last time, they offered grain for 0,14 ATS (on the level of German prices at the time) and the competitors followed by lowering their prices to as low as 0,12 ATS. => This time we did the same with the same price (9998 of grain for 0.15 AST), but it quickly sold out so we did not create the effect, but it somewhat helped some companies. Now is set a little higher price (0.20 ATS) because we have to slowly lower the price that was not controlled last days.
,,Additionally, I would like to know, what N I K A N wants to change in our constitution (he announced changes, but didn't tell us what they will be), how the states finances are doing, how the revaluation of the ATS shall happen and finally who really is in his Cabinet after all. => As we announced today, I just got all the state organizations, after a thorough review, we will publish the current situation, and then the further steps.
P.S.: I am happy you asked me all this and I hope that I give you a satisfactory answer on your questions. I would suggest you to continue to criticize the work of the government because we will then be even better and more successful and to monitor the state newspapers.
Kind regards,
NIKAN, austrian president
I am very grateful for your response. Please note, that I was writing this article at the same time as you wrote yours and mine was published only a few minutes later. I edited this in paranthesis right at the top of the article.
I am aware that time is needed to form a government and begin working. I was just missing some sort of commentary in the discussion concerning peace with Slovakia, which took place two days ago in this newspaper. And a public statement (not just a shout) after the election would have been nice, but of course isn't really necessary.
I probably should stay more quiet and let you work, but sometimes my curiosity is too strong or I really want to call attention to something.
[At first I wrote this: "I'm deeply sorry if you feel attacked or offended. That was never my intention.", but now that I have read your second post, I believe it is not necessary any more. Thank you for your understanding.]
Thank you for clarifying the process of peacemaking and the state we're in. I was fearing harsh terms and your words seem to justify that fears. But you will surely do a great job in articulating Austrian agendas. Let's hope, Slovakia wants to strengthen their ties with Austria and doesn't let greed rule over reason.
Next up, I'm sorry again. I must have missed that grain-sale. It's good though, that you're doing what you can to improve the situation. Unfortunately the German companies have lost their interest in the Austrian market.
I will be happy to read about the budget, becaue I believe these things to be very important. The former president, Penegrin, didn't seem to want to elaborate further on it, so I thought I would ask the next government. Knowledge of our financial situation would greatly enhance the understanding of common people about how things work in eRepublik and the possibilities the government has (i.e. are MPPs affordable or not).
Again - thank you for your time.
>>I probably should stay more quiet and let you work, but sometimes my curiosity is too strong or I really want to call attention to something.
Definitely don't stay quiet : P Nobody can think of everything themselves, so the more people that are trying to figure out how to improve Austria, the better. This post was very helpful in spurring some internal discussion about how the handle the grain situation in Austria, and hopefully we can see some improvements develop.
Constructive criticism and questions is very helpful towards getting things done, and I agree with OEBernd that you could be a good addition to the government : P
What if Slovakia pay us an ammount of gold per month for LA (like a rent of a house)
They have no intention of doing that imho.
